Same here - tried it, no luck. They apparently haven't implemented the standard IM features (such as with Trillian, YIM, Gmail Chat, etc) where registered/offline users are listed but with a greyed-out icon. I was thinking it would be fun to have IM chats with providers who were online. Oh well.
