Wait and See what her story is Only because about 6 months ago i had a simliar situation happen to me and it was really a family emergency and I rushed to bring my sister the the emergency room and due to the panick i left my phone at home..
needless to say I had no way to contact him..The next morning when i finally got back to my phone i made sure to give him a detailed explanation so he would give me another shot..even though the chances of this happeneing are slim to none...She really may have been that 1% percent..
if she doesnt apologize..take her off your TO DO least immediatly and find another great provider who wont Flake you and has No previous history of being a No show

Hope this helps DrGee

I had a 7:30 appointment with a well-reviewed provider. I arrived on time and made the usual 2nd call, but there was no answer, and her voicemail was full. I tried calling again every couple of minutes to no avail, and in fact after about 10 minutes went directly to the unavailable voicemail with no ring. After 15 minutes I gave up and went home. Was I too impatient? Does she put me down as a NCNS, and if so, what is my recourse?

No matter what the emergency (short of the provider being incapacitated herself), providers need to communicate in a prompt manner if there is a problem. This is common social and business courtesy. You need to stop making excuses for her. I have had this happen to me a couple of times. There are lots of fish in the sea, just move on to another provider.

I doubt that you will ever hear from her. If you do, she will most likely concoct some wild story.

Just had this experience.

She says she took a nap and forgot her phone was on silent.

Oh well, some days you eat the bear and others, no so much.

problem is most these ladies are doing back to back.....this is a huge issue for me...appointment should start on time...IF you are late I can guarantee you will be penalized., appointment starts at 730 you should be in the room no later than 729, period.  as she will be pushing you out at 830 or before...this is a customer service industry, i wish more of these ladies would treat it accordingly....very frustrating for sure

i have had things run later and just last week i left house with just black berry attemoted to tell him i wasnt able to get there back home in time, via email................he unfortunetly didnt have a black berry with him so didnt get my emaisl.                til later when it was too late. and he d already came n gone, I seen it as my flaky  dunb fault. i shouldve ALSO brought his phone number never assuming everyone has blackberry for hobbying, some guys may have a throw away cheap phone, and then use the pc at home or office to email. I realized i shouldve written the u,mber down and bought with me to my errands in case things ran later that day....... I offered to do a comlimentary fbsm with our appt or do an hour at the half rate i forget what i d said, but now we are rescheduling, and he is ok with the mistake . People arent perfect and things come up. If she is a good business person she ll tropubvle shoot and make amends to a possible new good regular that you may end up, if she really is well flaky or forgettful is a nicer word. But i am just bein honest i flake out and run around n forget to bring numbers doesnt make me a bad provider just means i am not a machine and have flkaws, maybe shes a good proveder maybe she has some porganization issues or maybe she has alot on plate rightnow, some theese women are students and have children, I d say call her see if she oofers to make it up to you that your wasted your valuable time. I know i am not good at the secretarial skills dept.   i fall short with the being great at appts going as planned, i also dont have a car though and going to a doctors appt , ect something easy like that at times can turn into a whole day out when cab compnaies dont show up on time ect ect, stuff thats out of my control.......i know just dont scheudle stuff on days when i have something going on knowing it may not go as quickly as i d thinbk in my head with public transportation being my means of getting around..................The least she could offer is maybe an extra half hour or maybe something to show she realies she flaked and values you as new potential client. for all you know she got pinched and is prison i d say wait n hear bavck from her what the heck ever coudve happend if it really was just a silly flaky mistake like forgetting to write your number down , she could be a good business woman and at least oofer to do somethin nice for you being patient enough to even try n reschedule where 90 percent wouldve been angry,,,,,,,,,,,and said to hell with them......

I think if you were able to get a last minute appointment you might want to be more patient but if going to a well reviewed provider I would think 20 minutes would be all I would wait. Obviously leave a message if possible but if something unavoidable came up then I would hope she would would call you back as soon as she could and explain. I would never wait more than 20 minutes and have had a few circumstances when I waited 20 minutes, left and then received a call explaining the issue (once the girl claimed her mother called with a family problem and she could not get off the phone but it was resolved and asked if I could still come over) If it is just inconsideration of over booking I will not have anything to do with the provider again. my 2 cents worth

If I understand correctly, you called and could not leave a message due to a full mailbox and then subsequently received no answer.  You did what you could.  Cell phones fail and sometimes call answering systems do as well.  If this was the case, she should have called or emailed you,  when you didn't call.

On your part, I would send her an email, stating succinctly what happened on your end.  She should answer immediately, unless, she has something very serious going on in her life at present.  If she doesn't answer, then that is not courteous nor professional.  By emailing her, you are covering your bum, in case, she thinks that you never showed.

my 3 cents
