It's nearly Amanda Taylor's bday and I need to find a good sex shop to pick up something for her while she's in Boston (so my normal mail order strategy is out of the question, I need something asap). I tried a local store, let's call it "spectacular supermart" and found it less than spectacular. Maybe a more fitting name would be mediocre midsized store? Anyway,like many other things in life,the size of the store does not matter to me, only  quality.  Am I clueless? Is there a gem right under my nose? I'm hoping you all can help me out. There has to be something in the Boston area. And...totally send Amanda a HBY wish! I don't think she'll mind I told you all of her impending b'day. She is, after all, more beautiful and skilled with each passing year.

The place that rates highest year after year for quality, assortment, and enlightened staff is Grand Opening in Brookline. That may be your best bet. Easy to find and get to via the T. Good luck!

Thanks so much for all the useful suggestions! I ended up going to Good Vibrations and loved it. The lady there was extremely helpful, letting me know what "did the trick" for her. I ended up getting something that should be both aesthetically and physically pleasing! Maybe you'll get a chance to see it action before Amaanda leaves town
