A client of mine gave me a very generous tip and suggested I take alex my assistant out to dinner and I was looking for a nice place to go in boston . We are thinking sushi but would appreciate all suggestions. I do not know Alex's trick but so many clients tip me and tell me to get Alex something nice. I have never experienced that before.

There are some nice restaurants over at the seaport and nice weather today and tomorrow help set the mood for a great time with your assistant Alex. Legal Seafood has a pretty good view and there are several steak/seafood restaurants too.

I like O Ya in the Leather District for sushi and Ostra in the Theater District for seafood in general.  Both pricey but worth it.

Check out Abe and Louies on Boylston Street.

If you are in the Seaport District, then Ocean Prime is a great choice.

Not legal seafood.  Since new ownership gone downhill.  Ocean Prime in seaport - best.  Or Rare Steakhouse at Encore Casino.

Minado in Natick is solid!  Decently priced and the sushi is good, I have eaten there many times and have yet to be dissappointed.

Since it’s no longer really Legal, sold out to group a few years back, Legal has successfully gone down hill.  

Does something sound fishy here? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_Sea_Foods doesn't say ANYTHING about the split between the brothers Marc and Roger.  I thought the settlement was that Roger remained CEO of all but one of the restaurants and Marc was bought out but allowed to continue to own and operate one of the early Legal Sea Foods restaurants.

Legal Seafoods opened in the 1970s in Inman Square in Cambridge where it was nearby the (old)  Middlesex County courthouse building, whence it drew a customer base from the legal beagles who worked there, hence the "Legal" in the name.

The name for the market came from the "Legal Stamps", also known as trading stamps, given to loyal customers." and (About us) "The brand Legal Sea Foods was born in 1950 with the Berkowitz family opening of a fish market in the Inman Square neighborhood of Cambridge, Massachusetts. I admit I was off on the dates a tad, but the explanation that the term "Legal" was related to their proximity to the Middlesex Court House was codified right on their menus at the time.

The 1997 menu has a box (lower right of page 3) with "The Legal Story" and it doesn't mention Legal Stamps OR being close to the Courthouse or City Hall of Legal eaters.

How about we agree to disagree and switch to a discussion of Ken's At Copley and their late night specials? I used to get the London Broil special every time. They were right next to the 24 hour Paperback Booksmith. I still have books that I bought there. Ah, nostalgia.

If you like cool unusual food and don't mind Ubering to Newbury St. Salty girl is nice. Lobster waffle is always a subject for discussion during and afterwards similar to the movie "Talk to her".

We met via a personals ad, and Ken was the go-to place for the initial meet-up.   I would describe myself, and she would be there when I entered, and if she liked what she saw, she would come over and introduce herself.
