went to Myrtle Beach last week for the fall rally on vacation, had a great time came home feeling recharged and happy to find my little sweetie, my 7lb, 8yr papillon/chihuahua Gypsy has been missing for 4 days. Now she has been gone for 8 days. I am beside myself. Have looked everywhere for her she has just disappeared. My heart is broken. I am having a hard time keeping hope here. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. thanks for reading my post.

Hi Nicole. I'm so sorry to hear about Gypsy. Although we've never met I can truly feel your worry and pain. I'm a pet lover myself and would hate it for one of my cats to go missing. Stay strong; hopefully good news is around the corner.

I appreciate the messages, emails and calls from all the other animal lovers who know what it is like to lose their good friend.
thank you...

Nicole

Keep your hope alive. When I was young our much beloved Irish Water Spaniel disappeared for over a week before someone who knew us and the family that found the dog put us in touch. Wishing you the best result!

Nicole, you probably have heard this advice already, but I will mention it so everyone else can see it.  I volunteer for a breed rescue organization, and we always tell people looking for lost dogs to make sure they check the local shelters IN PERSON several times; a phone call or two is not enough.  Shelter workers and volunteers are usually overworked, and may not be experts at breed identification.  There are many cases where someone calls a shelter to ask about a lost dog, describes the dog, and is told there is no dog there with that description.  That very same day, they may visit the shelter and find their dog waiting for them.

Best of luck finding your Gypsy!
