Hi

every trip to boston i promise myself a lobster roll and this time i actually had time to get one and it was so disappointing no i am on a mission can anyone suggest a good place to get a great lobster roll and maybe some chowda (isn't that how you bostoinians say it?)

Near copley square would be great

Neptune oyster Bar or Row 34 have the best lobster rolls in the city in my opinion!

I just looked up row 34 not too far from where i am staying. I will try it out and let you know

thanks

Finz in Salem, Ma or the anchor pub in Beverly.   Bit of a walk from Copley.

Probably didn't like Luke's because it was cold.. I'm not a fan of cold lobster rolls AT ALL. I loved the lobster roll place at Faneuil Hall.

Stay away from Legals. I know their old buyer. He left because he wouldn't put his John Hancock on frozen product.

James Hook & Company,
440 Atlantic Ave

They do a great job at a reasonable price.

This is not the best time of year for fresh lobster.  Most of the lobsters available right now are coming down from holding tanks in Canada. Fresh, but not as good as a local or Maine lobster taken from the water in summer and on your plate a day or three later.

On top of that, there is a glut of lobster right now, a result of corona virus. Chinese celebrations were cut back or cancelled both here and abroad, where tons are shipped annually.

I'll wear the claws and you lift up your tail?

Rhode island has the best lobster rolls. Two Ten Oyster bar in Rhode island  rocks.
