For Italian, there is Sorellina's in Copley Square or just about any place in the North End.

The best sushi I've had it O Sushi in the Westin Hotel in Copley Square.

its a total experience. Great restarants lots going on fabulous food nice place to walk around and its spring in Boston so its always great.
Got to hit an irish pub while you are in town as well.

Boston has so many choices its hard to choose.

go to Abe and Louie's on Boylston St. great food, great service, great cocktails, maybe a little $$$ but worth every dime.  Tell the bartender you're visiting and inquire about a club, they'll point you in the right direction depending on the night.
