I've done a handful of hypnosis sessions via skype and phone, but never in person.  I honestly can never decide if what I'm doing actually induces hypnotic trance; I'm not a trained hypnotist, but can speak in a very steady and easy cadence, which helps. I think a lot of the appeal is the inferred "loss of control", and the role play aspect of having someone that's playing an authority figure control your mind. Now, am I saying that hypnosis isn't real? No, not at all.  There are really talented hypnosis-dommes out there, but I don't know any personally that do hypnosis in real-time.  

In all honesty, hypnosis sessions, at least on the phone or via skype, are a bit on the dry side for me.  Perhaps that's because it's not my main focus and I haven't put a lot of time into learning correct hypnosis techniques; who knows.  

That being said, I've never gotten a request for a real-time hypnosis session.

Personally, I love doing hypnosis. The effects vary from person to person and hypnotic suggestions tend to fade if they're not reinforced often but they're fun regardless. I've found that about 50% of the time, people remember what happens when they're under but it's not a sure thing.
Hypnosis is basically a type of manipulation so if you're skilled at mind games it will be for you, if not it can be tedious to learn.
