Don't know rope bondage, but want to (consensually) immobilize your lover?  The answer might be as close as your local moving & storage stores in the form of the plastic stretch wrap that is used to keep boxes on a pallet and during shipping.

NOTE: Before you even attempt this kind of play, make sure that you purchase safety scissors/shears.  These are designed for paramedics, and they can be used to quickly cut through plastic wrap or rope without damaging your play partner.  (One side is flat/blunt, so it can run between the skin and the item you want to cut without cutting the person.)  If you do not have these in your toy bag, you are a bad Top and don't deserve to play until you own a pair (or two).

There are a couple of forms of this kind of stretch wrap.  I'm partial to the stretch wrap dispenser with handles (see link), but there are also longer/wider rolls (probably the better way to go if you have someone helping you, and want to cover more surface area quickly).  You'll likely want to start at either the shoulders or the waist and do 3 to 5 "laps" around your partner to "mummify" them.  DO NOT COVER THE NECK OR FACE!!!  It's perfectly fine to wrap in sections, and you might want to do the upper torso as one column (section) and the legs separately, possibly even leaving the crotch area exposed.  Because the stretch wrap sticks to itself, you can always stop, tear it off, have it stick to itself, and then start again on another part of the body.

For stability, if you are going to have your play partner lying down during the scene, start at their shoulders and work your way down to their ankles while they are standing up (hopefully, right next to the bed), and then help them down to the bed as you work towards the ankles . . .  then, when it's time to release them, cut them free the opposite direction (from the legs going up).

If you REALLY want to secure them, you might wrap the body first, and then wrap the hands a few times on top of that (as opposed to wrapping the hands and waist at the same time).  You can also wrap them to furniture, which can be a lot of fun!

You'll need to "check in" frequently with your play partner to see how the circulation in their hands and other parts of the body are doing.  The nice thing about this kind of play is that you can poke holes in the wrap to free a hand or any other body part that needs relief.  Another nice thing -- especially for those who don't want marks -- is that you can flog and do other things to the person once they are wrapped, and the wrapping diminishes the effect somewhat (but not completely).  This is also a really cool way to do tickling (maybe with strategic holes made in the stretch wrap) or the Wartenberg pinwheel.  It depends on how hydrated your play partner is and other factors, but you should be able to play this way for 10 to 30 minutes before you need to (at least partially) start releasing them.  You do have to be cognizant that this is still plastic, and exposure to anything hot could MELT the plastic, and burn your poor submissive, so "fire play" is strictly verboten.

This is not a complete "how to" guide, but most of the basics.  If you haven't done this kind of play before, but it sounds fun, try it out a little bit on yourself before doing it on others.  You can wrap your own legs and waist, and then cut yourself out, to get a sense of how it feels.

LOL !!

Love the stretch wrap, quick restraint, easy to remove...

Plus I can use it for an herbal body wrap when no naughty boys need wrapping up ;)

The kind that just a hair blower can cause to shrink to fit form perfectly?

I haven't bothered trying to play with the kind of shrink wrap (for the kitchen) that I think you are talking about, because there usually isn't enough in a roll to cover a body, and it's probably not quite as strong as the kind you can get from the moving & storage stores.

While I like your line of thinking, I would suggest NOT using a hair drying to shrink it further, because you want to be able to stick in a finger -- not for the reasons you're thinking, perv! -- sorry, you want to be able to stick in a finger to pull away enough wrap away from the body to quickly cut out your submissive partner with the safety scissors/shears should a problem arise, such as their hand starting to go numb, or any sort of other "red" safe word situation.

I just don't get the attraction to plastic wrap. Certainly not in comparison to fisting, golden showers, DATO, rimming, facials, groups, etc.  Did I mention rimjobs?

I guess plastic wrap reminds me of dental dams. And leftovers. Maybe suffocation too.  None of which get the blood flowing in the lower exterminates. Like for example ass eating does.

One of the cheapest ways to mummify a person, and it comes in colors.

You can take Luggage Rack and the plastic wrap on a roller found at Rent a Moving Truck places and suspend people, just like rope.  You do need to know how to make full coverage harness's out of it, not one little strand of plastic wrap.

i like that you cut if off and throw it out, easy clean up.

Great to use for Tease and Denial, because you are so close to being next to the wrapped person and so not next to them at the same time.

Fun times.

I've  used the large rolls of shrink rap to mummify a lady to a hotel luggage cart on wheels. She was short enough to get her into a standing spread eagle yet completely immobile. One then cuts away small areas which makes her nipples and other part completely accessible. In her case a set of Clover  nipple clamps, anal plug and of course a Hitachi in hand. The fun part was wheeling her up and down the hallway of the convention floor for public play, exposure and use. * sigh * She was not allowed to orgasm until she begged sufficiently to my satisfaction as numerous people tormented the poor girl for hours.  BY the way, it took many hours of all manner of use and I do mean ALL and begging.....

Being a lifestyle male Dom and owning an Agency gets interesting at times, because a few of my associates are definitely subs and bottoms. However sadly, just because I see, doesn't mean I touch.

I live in the MD / DC BDSM scene so sharing it with my associates and letting them bleed over into my personal life can be problematic at best.  *sigh*

God sometimes I HATE doing the right thing....
