Just wanted to share that I had incredible time tonight . . .  One of my friends and mentors is a long-time professional dominatrix who was the former head of Threshold and an esteemed guest lecturer nationally.  I had always felt that my flogging skills could be improved, especially trying to learn how to florentine with 2 floggers (one in each hand, going at the same time in counter-movement).  I decided to book an educational session with her, just to go over improving my technique, and I really got a lot out of it.  (It was $$, but I feel like I got every penny's worth out of it, in terms of ideas and practice techniques.)  So, I wanted to point out to the newer "kinkies" that booking a teaching session (either as an individual or as a couple) can be a rich and rewarding experience -- maybe as much as booking a scene -- and there are always new things that you can learn by continuing your education as a Top.  (I'm a Switch, but learning a lot of the dominant components as of late.)  So, don't be afraid to take advantage of booking an educational session from time to time.  Thank me later!  ;-)

Likewise, for those of you who live in big cities where there are classes, I highly recommend seeing different instructors teach the same topic, as you'll find out that there is no one single right way to do things.  To my chagrin, I realized that part of the problem I was having with flogging is that I had a bad piece of advice from my first teacher on this subject that I needed to throw out of my repertoire.
