Just wanted to share that I had incredible time tonight . . .  One of my friends and mentors is a long-time professional dominatrix who was the former head of Threshold and an esteemed guest lecturer nationally.  I had always felt that my flogging skills could be improved, especially trying to learn how to florentine with 2 floggers (one in each hand, going at the same time in counter-movement).  I decided to book an educational session with her, just to go over improving my technique, and I really got a lot out of it.  (It was $$, but I feel like I got every penny's worth out of it, in terms of ideas and practice techniques.)  So, I wanted to point out to the newer "kinkies" that booking a teaching session (either as an individual or as a couple) can be a rich and rewarding experience -- maybe as much as booking a scene -- and there are always new things that you can learn by continuing your education as a Top.  (I'm a Switch, but learning a lot of the dominant components as of late.)  So, don't be afraid to take advantage of booking an educational session from time to time.  Thank me later!  

Likewise, for those of you who live in big cities where there are classes, I highly recommend seeing different instructors teach the same topic, as you'll find out that there is no one single right way to do things.  To my chagrin, I realized that part of the problem I was having with flogging is that I had a bad piece of advice from my first teacher on this subject that I needed to throw out of my repertoire.
