I just rented "Downloading Nancy" and it has VERY intense scenes in it... has anyone else seen it? What was your take?

Personally I got it... and I really liked it... but I am a huge Jason Patric fan anyways.


I really got turned on in some of the scenes, but I dont know if I could let a guy do the glass or cigarette thing... I think it takes alot of time and trust to build up a pain limit like that.. maybe I am not sure...

I am definitely a submissive, and have delved into pushing pain limits but cutting and burning, still eh not sure about

but Anyway, I am curious who else has seen this and what you thought about it?

Speaking as someone who works in the entertainment industry, I've always been a little disappointed in Hollywood's treatment of BDSM on film and TV.  Generally, we're depicted as either psychotic, deeply disturbed serial killers (a la "8MM", "SE7EN") or as the bumbling, comedic objects of ridicule (a la "EXIT TO EDEN").  It's been all I can do not to "out" myself whenever projects dealing with the lifestyle come across my desk.

Probably the closest thing I've seen to an accurate depiction of our community is the movie "SECRETARY" and the dominatrix character on the original "C.S.I."

That said, I probably owe my perversion to Hollywood, if you consider the impact that Catwoman and Wonder Woman had on me when I was younger.

Well you may be right on track with this movie lol

He INDEED was hired off the internet to kill her by HER as she hated her life, so yeah they depict him as a disturbed psychotic, but if you watch the movie, you see he really has a soft and tender loving side...

it is hard to explain really... and I REALLY dont think he was as disturbed or psychotic as they tried to convey, he just had some issues but deep down was not all that horrible...

again watch it and let me know your take :)

Actually Maria Bello was nominated for her role in it... it was mainly a independent film that did well at Sundance and the likes... If you know the types of movies Jason Patric tends to act in, you get my drift...

AWESOME movie and I masturbate EVERY time I watch it...

I love the relationship that develops between the D/s and I CRAVE that with a partner but have not found that PERFECT lifestyle D/s relationship..

I starred Mary Waranov and was made by her husband Paul Bartel.

It's basically a black comedy, not about the BSSM scene per se, but it enters into that.
