Awful trailer of an awful book.  It says something about how pop media treats the whole subject with a salacious eye.

Just give me the real, original Story of O book.  Far better literature and a far more memorable story line

You can not sugar coat caca!  I prefer the real hardcore BDSM not some modern day soap opera interpretation.

Trash IMO, as is the book.  The book was written as Twilight fan fiction, and you can tell.  It's amateurish and the characters are pathetic.  Just no...

The Sleeping Beauty series was great erotica. There's nothing like a writer who knows what she's doing to make sure the mind is as involved as the genitals...and the mind is the #1 erogenous zone.

Three other books you may want to consider: "The Story of O" by Pauline Reage (I read it in college and was completely warped from that day on; for me, it defines "sexy, not smutty."), "The Image" by Catherine Robbe-Grillet (a fascinating look at a D/s relationship that becomes a threesome; the writing is subdued, which makes the impact of what's happening that much more intense.) and "Justine" by the Marquis de Sade (another book that indelibly altered me in college; some of the fetishes are extreme, but it's worth reading for the philosophical discussions that permeate the book, including a fascinating discussion of how kleptomania can have a strong sexual component).

All of the books were made into movies with varying degrees of success. For a hardcore take on "The Story of O," take a look at "The Story of Joanna," directed by Gerard Damiano, with a surprisingly literate script.

That the book was really watered down and not a real depiction of bdsm in its true colors.

When I asked if he thought I should see 50 Shades when released, he said "NO, books huge disappointment movie will be too, this is just mom porn".  I've not read the books, just now seeing the trailer.  No longer interested in even reading the books and after watching the trailer I agree totally with his point of view.  Of course this is my opinion and know we all have one :)

It's remedial reading at it's worst. Very cheesy stuff.
