Study shows BDSM enhances creativity

I have always believed this and felt this way...now a study by Fetlife researchers supports this theory...

Having been with Angie a number of times I have found myself being more and more creative with her as she subs to me.

Studies have repeatedly shown links between intelligence/education and more liberal sexuality.  Intelligent minds obviously think up more outrageous fantasies.

I even came across an early English translation of Kraft Ebbing's Psychopathia Sexualis (wherein he first coined the names Masochist and Sadist) when I was a pre-teen. All the really graphic parts were in Latin and so I chose that as my foreign language in thee 6th grade. (Quite useful if I ever get to Ancient Rome.) One thing all the books stress is that people into BDSM are more imaginative and creative.  One reason given is that BDSM involves the creation of an unreal World.

I remember one young attractive elegant lady of color with whom I had an extended BDSM relationship who loved to be collared, tied, and made love to while I would describe to her the various humiliations and torments that were in store for her (None of which would have been in reality acceptable to her or me.) She would tell me after that what she found most sexy about me was my imagination.
So maybe it is not the BDSM activity that makes the group of us imaginative but our imaginative nature that sends us into the world of BDSM..

It is nice to see research back it up. Some of the most revelatory experiences I've ever had were while engaged in kinky play. And I've always found subspace to be deeply spiritual.

To add on to that, I've found that as I continue to explore BDSM my creativity grows more and more! :)

It lets me unleash my inner thoughts and desires as a dom.

I always call BDSM 'sexy improv'. It definitely takes a certain type of mind and quick wit to really delve into it.
