Surprised and glad to see a BDSM forum on TER although, not unsurprisingly,  it seems to be very low-traffic.

I was into hardcore forms of BDSM for many years but as I have gotten older I have mellowed and have spent a lot of time on TER browsing reviews and looking to getting into the softer (and more pleasurable) side of the perversion.

Browsing profiles I see BDSM checked in a lot of them but then I read the reviews and I don't see any indication of why it was checked. Kind of confusing.

The best hint I get is when reviewers complain that the session was not true GFE because the provider had too many rules and did not allow DFK. Definitely sounds like my kind of wonderful woman! In my soft-core dreams I imagine a beautiful and desirable woman whose attitude is that if I think I she would ever be my "girl friend" for real then I must be hallucinating. And if I look at such a woman and think about "deep french kissing" then I really need to take that thought, put it where the sun doesn't shine and leave it there. For a nice, long time.

Glad to have you join us.  We were pretty high-traffic at the beginning, because so many people had questions.  It's tapered off a little since then.  I suspect that we have a lot of lurkers who I hope will one day post questions to this board.

There have been a lot of valid complaints about how TER handles BDSM providers in terms of reviews and profiles.  As best I can tell, any provider who allows a hobbyist to spank her ass once or tweak her nipples once qualifies as BDSM for purposes of the profiles, which is unjust to actual BDSM providers.  The whole ratings system is wildly out-of-whack, geared towards sexual services, and the highest rankings a BDSM provider who offers an amazing scene without sex can hope to achieve is about a 6 or 7, I'm guessing.  I'm just a fellow hobbyist who happens to be a moderator, so I'm not fan of TER when it comes to how they are handling the BDSM side of things, but it's better than nothing at all.  Other review sites mainly just "kiss ass" of the providers, so you can't really tell who is good and who isn't.

LeChiffre, Thanks for posting this about the rating system. To the best of my knowledge, I do not have reviews here, nor do I think under the current system that it even makes sense for a review to be posted. I do find some of the conversations interesting and thus far, less drama than another board that focuses on strictly pro dominatrix providers. Being newer to this site, I appreciate the insight in your post. -Bridget

I have clients in the upper 80s and a client that has become a personal close friend that has been seeing pro doms for over 45 years.
