I find most on there are about only living vicariously through others and BSers...so many wannabes(Doms/subs)...they contact you without even reading your profile...same with CollarMe

My profile on fetlife reflects all of my life (interests, my outlook, my philosophy), being a submissive, doing Service Topping, being involved in Pony Play, being the founder of the LA Pony and Critter Club, and all the presentations/workshops I give. Plus there is my travel schedule and the best tid bits/amusements on being professional submissive. Fetlife is where I present myself to the BDSM community, keep hooked up in what is happening there, and that community is my home, it is where my friends are. It isn't where I promote myself as a professional submissive to engage/enroll people to do sessions with me. Although sometimes, private messages get sent to me there.
I have been on it for a while but I have never actually used it except to check in occasionally (along with many other sites.) so i can't say I have actually used it.
I have both a Dominatrix profile and a submissive profile.
I don't spend a lot of time there, I really try to limit how much time I spend on any social media, and I get tired of reading the same types of threads over and over again. I have friends there, but frankly I would rather spend time actual face time with friends than be on the internet with them!
MaxFisch, which is more oriented to professional BDSM, has a much more New York City-centric tone. FetLife is literally around the globe. Interesting site.
I've gotten hits from all of the sites - but I do agree, most of the users seem to not read the profiles and tons of them ask for freebies - it's frustrating and such a waste of time.
I primarily use it to network with people in the biz or that I know/have met personally. Too many annoying civvies who don't get that I'm not there just to pretend...
All sites are mostly lifestyles and want to be your slave and serve you, but not pay. The BDSM section on BP works really well, but you have to weed out the crp and the fakers. I am on FetLife, MaxFicsh, and CollarMe, and some others. Why I find mostly on those sites are people interested in financial agreements. BP are real time clients.
I just joined fetlife and I am puzzled. I'm looking for a female sub, and 90 percent of the contact ads look fake to me and the other ten percent are from pre-op T/S. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a seperate spot for real classifeds? You know who I am Caitlyn, we've talked a bit, I am still looking in Chicago but is fetlife the way?
I am about to redo my profile on there.... but was wondering who else is on there?
Mainly a lifestyle website.. there are some groups where you can advertise pro business, but for the most part, the site is lifestyle-centric. It's like a facebook for fetish/bdsm folks.. I use it to keep in touch with my kink friends and admirers, since I can't assosciate with them on my FB page. I like it.
Oh yeah, and there's a 50/50 shot someone will contact you without reading.. :p
