What happened to the BDSM provider ads on Eros.

Eros has cancelled the category and is funneling the users of the BDSM category to Fantasy and Fetish and charging more for it. Why is a good question.

I hope the providers were not caught off guard.

eventually the fetish tantra dancers will be gone on eros

This month I was not able to edit my BDSM ad San Jose Ca eros.  Then customer support deleted all the ads.  Maybe got hacked and does not want that data to paint a violent picture for sex workers???  I wouldn't be surprised at anything theses day.  Took my ad over to Loving.com.  The webmaster is way cool overt there.

There was a judgement made in August that made it illigal to transport obscene material in the United States.  Obscene was defined in a vague way which included the words "humilation" and "degradation" and anything"not natural".  It is illigal to sell this on a federal level now.  It is actually illigal to transport this into the United States.  Transportation includes the use of the internet in the ruling.

Only Eros knows there reasons, but if you want to post an ad on Eros you cannot use the words BDSM, Dominant, submissive, humiliation, degradation, or allude to anything not vanilla sex.  You cannot have a flogger or crop in the photo.

This is all I have learned trying to repost an ad.

That's got to be frustrating.  From what I read, this could be a lot of things including just about stand up comic routine for the last 20 years.

Yes, the vagueness of the language is what strikes fear.  It could be interperted to fit almost anything.  And if a group of folks is being sought out to be punished, when they are done with that group they will pick another.

I think we need to send multiple emails to Eros support and their contact us inquiring what happened to the BDSM section as well as request to reinstated it.

I have a client who emailed Eros asking why they discontinued the BDSM category.  Their answer was to block him from their website.

Who has the link on the ruling about BDSM.  Send  me a email, the link about the Supreme Court [email protected]
I will do everything to make sure in the information is true.  I will not pass it on until I get the right information.

I had a gut feeling make BDSM providers as violent.  I was right.

I only have a basic account here.  I cannot send a private email.

Google "supreme court ruling on transportation of obscene material" August 11, 2023

And regarding what is obscene:

The U.S. Supreme Court established the test that judges and juries use to determine whether matter is obscene in three major cases: Miller v. California, 413 U.S. 15, 24-25 (1973); Smith v. United States, 431 U.S. 291, 300-02, 309 (1977); and Pope v. Illinois, 481 U.S. 497, 500-01 (1987).  The three-pronged Miller test is as follows:

Whether the average person, applying contemporary adult community standards, finds that the matter, taken as a whole, appeals to prurient interests (i.e., an erotic, lascivious, abnormal, unhealthy, degrading, shameful, or morbid interest in nudity, sex, or excretion);
Whether the average person, applying contemporary adult community standards, finds that the matter depicts or describes sexual conduct in a patently offensive way (i.e., ultimate sexual acts, normal or perverted, actual or simulated, masturbation, excretory functions, lewd exhibition of the genitals, or sado-masochistic sexual abuse); and
Whether a reasonable person finds that the matter, taken as a whole, lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.
Any material that satisfies this three-pronged test may be found obscene.

I've been on eros a long time.  Eros will not tell you why, they do not give out reasons why, they are in fear of authorities.  That's a waste of time.

I don't recommend contacting Eros to complain. I used to have a personal customer service representative back in the day. Eros had a dinner party in my city years ago & invited me to gain knowledge of providers in the industry. The site is no long run by the same individuals. I was told I was banned due to association & the only provider at that time I associated with was my identical twin sister. Fetlife is always an option. I am thinking of getting back on there its a lot of fishing, but, so is everything else.

Yes, I was invited to on eof those parties in Los Angeles.  They were a new site back in 2009.  The BDSM section was filled with Domme's but there was only one other submissive on the website.  She was in New York.  The personal service respresentative was so helpful.  I have always only advertised on Eros.  The Customer Service Representative aspect stopped quite a while ago, about the time one could not have a photo laying down approved.
