You are Venting - Vent on!

Sorry just venting.  Why do so many new or inexperienced provider deem it reasonable to request the same donation as other providers with glowing reviews, when you haven't had one and have little to no experience.  I understand rubs can be deeply personal, and I'm not stating that a ladies value is less than what they charge, but you are providing a service relative to other providers.  We as consumers are part of the problem as well, because some of us pay it.  I believe in paying for service and paying handsomely for awesome service but now rates are moving towards full service rates and that is ridiculous with the lack of service that is being provided.  You are selling a fantasy and some of the customer service or understanding of what is truely being sold is a mystery (especially for these young ladies).  Maybe I should stick with more mature providers.   I have never been with a full service provider but maybe I will if the prices of a rub continue to increase up over $200-$250/hour or even $300.  At least then you know what you are paying for, and you don't have to deal with the expectation of not being touched or providing the bare minimum service and expecting full service compensation.  You are selling a dream and in that dream attitude and demeanor are very important.  I want to thank all of you great providers out there!!  I enjoy you and if I haven't, hopefully I will have the pleasure very soon as I love the hobby.

Ok back to your regularly scheduled programming and sorry for the bitch fit....

you have the power.

I think a lot of the new ones see what is advertised and just go with higher end pricing.
Shows good self esteem but less business sense.   Atlanta is great as there are great girls
in everyones price point.

I agree we do have a multitude of options, thanks, just blowing off some steam.

An understandable vent with sentiment that I share

The easy answer is perceived market value - i.e. What is everyone else charging - but with no qualitative filter

Essentially - this is the going rate regardless of service quality, therefore that is what I will charge

Hopefully market dynamics will kick in with the help of TER and word of mouth. Many of the established providers can get their rates because they have built reputation and relationships and frankly - are worth Tim

The newbies will get little repeat business and over time will either improve, drop prices or disappear

At least ; that's how it should work . Meanwhile, if you are on of the 'early adopters' you may have to reconcile yourself with some poor experiences

Your bigger question is more interesting - why are rates generally trending Upwards?

Riding confidence in the economy, people have more disposable income, a number of solid providers are pushing rates up - all are factors. Bottom line - providers are asking for AND getting higher rates. Guys are paying it.

Good for the girls - bad for the guys - could be bad for the hobby in Atlanta overall as it will introduce artificial dynamics - a 'bubble' if you like that is probably not sustainable

I agree with your logic, but I would expect to see the entrance of real massage therapists with the rising prices. Too many of the good ones have left.  I miss Romy, Paula and a couple of others.

I can't say enough about how prices have gone up and quality has taken a complete shit. There were several providers out there that would give a true cmt , deep tissue, massage and then provide a great HE.  Now, I feel I am lucky to get the HE.

Forget prostate massages, too. I wish Romy would come back to Atlanta...
