Just stepping into a more serious mode for a moment.  In case it is not apparent to most here, JPW and I are friends.  It is also no secret that we get together from time to time for suds and lies.  He is currently out of pocket so we discussed my posting this.  One of the biggest things that bothers the old Q-tip is that he will inadvertently hurt someone’s feelings.  To avoid any potential misunderstanding, the following is not addressed to any one or any group of individuals.  If you think it is, then you are incorrect in that assumption.

There is a distinction some may not fully appreciate.  As used in this thread, a private party is usually held at a personal residence.  A M&G party is held at a public venue.  Both venues are by invite only.  With respect to personal residence - the guest list is personally known to the host.  Think about it - would any of us want strangers engaged in this hobby to show up at our homes (assuming it was not for outcall purposes)?  Also, a private party always has a greater space limitation than a M&G.

It was discussed on the M&G board a while back about what was the ideal number of parties a year.  The consensus from posts and PM's was that once a quarter for M&G's was about right.  Inevitably, someone is unhappy they were left off the invite list, especially after they see the posts following the event.  The fact is that some individuals wait until the last minute to say they want to come, and then they get their feelings hurt when they are not invited.  Others make the host nervous by suggesting they intend to bring guests – hence, they don’t get the venue details either.  And still others are habitual NS.  The truth is that there just is insufficient time to screen M&G newbies that wait to the last minute.  Plus there are food and other practical considerations that come into play.  There are rules to M&G’s that are for everyone’s safety and peace of mind.  The biggest is that EVERYONE has been screened. So, if you are interested in attending a M&G and have not yet done so, then please don't wait - send a PM to JimmyPW with the requested screening info.  Believe me; it is so much easier on all parties concerned not to have to contend with last minute screening.

So, Jimmy’s original post had two options.  One, asking if his personal acquaintances were up for a private residence party or two, if the ATL TER community was up for a M&G (even though it is not yet been a Quarter since the last one.)  And to answer the obvious – if you are not a personal acquaintance of his, get screened, go to a M&G and get to know him.   Heck, ladies for the paltry price of a peck on my cheek, I’ll introduce you to him.  Guys, a Jackson should cover it. JK all, been too long a post already.
