I've noticed many providers have email/web only contact methods for initial contact.

And many use gmail and yahoo etc.

Me being paranoid I often think more than twice about contacting them simply because I know that these services cooperate with law enforcement when information is requested of them.

Also there's no claim that they delete information, in fact gmail never deletes they only remove the email from the person's mail box, but it is still accessible via other means.

I hope everyone is taking this into account.

I have email only for the initial contact. When you give your number out the whole world can see it. If you cant be discrete with yourself then how is the client going to feel. I do not want my phone ringing 24/7 with a bunch of idiots just playing on the phone. I want to get a feel for the person before I share my contact imfo. Besides the law can read all your texts and listen in on your phone conversations too even if your phone is turned off. Also when someone emails me and says " Hi Im so and so and I saw you about a year and a half ago and I look back and never had any correspondence with them what-so-ever then the chances of them being a cop are high. Yes I keep initial old emails with phone #'s to protect myself because its very difficult when someone says "This is Mike or Dave or Steve I need to know if they are on the up and up. If Im that careful about myself you can rest assure Im even more careful with my clients Plus when the cops are doing a sting they go straight for the girls first whos # is posted.

Until recently I used my work/personal cell phone to hobby but have recently smartened up and purchased a hobby only phone(I do listen to the advice of the veterans on the board). Depending who you are I now realize that you have to be careful about what information you give these ladies. You would never want to find your name along side 100 or so other men plastered all over the news. Here is an excerpt for the Daily news.

"Joe Blow paid cash. Mr. Adams came back two dozen times. David W. canceled because his wife was looking for him.

The secrets of those men and more than 2,000 other johns are laid bare in Manhattan madam Kristin Davis' little black book, obtained exclusively by the Daily News"

I would prefer my information be destroyed after our visit but I know even if they say they destroy it 7 times out of 10 they will not.

I wanted to date a young lady and even though I have references and date check she still wanted my employers phone number. Needless to say that was the end of that conversation.

The real problem is with Web Forms. The data in this case is stored in a DB. Email, you can always say it is spam and most doesn't keep email for a long time. LE is not going to sift through emails looking for providers and hobbyists, takes way too much time especially with gmail and yahoo.

If you really want safe and secure email, you can try hush.mail.com, it is a paid service.

Hobby is not espionage you can be assured that LE is not going to monitor your email traffic to catch people which is misdemeanor and civil charges. They have plenty of things to worry about instead keeping an eye who is fucking who for what.

Paranoia is not a good thing because you do stupid things. If one doesn't have the confidence to stay safe, one should be in the hobby because your stupidity may bring harm to others. Some of the discussion threads here are amazing, phone for hobby, car for hobby, should I go through the lobby, should I call her from the lobby and the list goes on and on. The simple fact is no two hotels are the same, no two situations are ever the same. If you cannot adapt and act normally, you are going to bring trouble.

It is all matter of keeping the distance and knowing when to keep your mouth shut. When one talk too much, stupid things and things you don't want to come out comes out.

Lock the fucking phone and don't give the password to anyone including your SO. It is yours so keep it private.

When you make or receive calls, delete it after it has served its purpose

Don't store provider numbers on your phone and when the phone CID show the name, and SO starts asking you billion question. Make some name at work or something.

If you engage in text message erotica, you erase after every message transmission even if you password protect your phone.

Change password once in while.

I ain't got a SO problem and no one is ever going to find out hence, having fun anonymously.
