Lately, I'm starting to see more and more providers' on BP stating that they do not cater to African-American men. I even see it posted on AA providers' pages that are themselves of the same ethnic background.

Not trying to start anything, just curious. Since I know some providers are reluctant to give an honest opinion we can use "hypothetical" scenarios/reasons for their preferences, so as not to damage their reputations.

Maybe they aren't attracted. And I doubt it's going to ruin their reputation if they're upfront about it. I wouldn't hold it against a provider if she chooses not to see a particular race. Her body, her choice.

It is their right to do so. Remember you did say backpage which does not attract the best clients anyway at all times. I have come across that personally with some who are A providers. When it first happened it did kind of upset me and disappoint me. I did get over it and live another day. I do not discriminate and treat all ladies with respect regardless to race.

Like pmking said, 'their body, their choice'. Some providers I would like to see I can't because they have certain age restrictions. A provider has this preference...age, race, build, etc...for their own reason. Maybe they had a bad experience with a black guy. Maybe clients under a certain age have shown to be too immature. Who knows? There is a certain level of risk associated with the hobby and every provider is afforded the right to choose the type of clients they fill most comfortable with.

Hypothetically, suppose you, 3rdleg, had a client of a certain race that showed hostility towards you and you decided to 'fire' him as a client. You then had two, three, four more from that same race behave in the same way and decided to stop doing business with them as well. At a certain point, wouldn't you decide to not do anymore business with that specific race?

Lastly, as the client who is paying a fee for a wonderful service, would you want to give your money to someone who didn't feel comfortable spending time with you? We all want a fantasy experience and if a provider doesn't feel comfortable, they can't provide that fantasy.

Regardless of how progressive we like to think we are, all of us still have our preconceived notions of certain people whether they're white, black, Asian, Latin, young, or old. If you run across a provider who won't see you because of a certain attribute you posses, remember that it's not you, but some dumbass before you that ruined it for you and the rest of whatever group the provider won't see. All you can do is move on and find someone else.
