I got into a discussion with a regular this week about tattoos. I have one, a Natty Tat that I got to commemorate my Dawgs National Championships. It is easy to add to when we win another and is easy to hide or show off depending on what I want to do. We really were not talking about my tattoo though, on Women what is your preference was the question posed to me. In thinking about this I looked at who I have booked, who have I paid to spend time with me. My demographc is 55 year old, white, southern, business owner (white collar), fairly prominent in atlanta (I see someone I know most times I go out), affluent. I list those out to give an idea of myself not to brag or belittle others. I have booked women with no tattoos all the way to her body is a canvas although the vast majority are just a few. So I concluded that tattoos really had no relevance in whether I booked a lady or not, I was either attracted to her or not.
Where I noticed a difference was the type of booking. The more heavily tattooed a lady was, the shorter the booking or more likely there was no public time. If the tattoos were in a place that only a lover would see or could be easily covered then I was more likely to take a weekend trip or even a dinner date. It was almost as common as age for example at 55 I would not take a 25 year old out on a dinner date, running into a friend with someone one younger than my kids may be difficult to explain. Likewise a lady with hands, forearms, face, or other visible and memorable tattoos may lead to uncomfortable conversations.
I'm all for a lady doing exactly as she wants with her body and her tattoos I just know in our twenties we sometimes make decisions that we don't always think through for our lifetime. I remember a SNL Skit where the mom, think June Cleaver, is serving her family breakfast. It looks like a husband in a suit going to work, two kids with their backpacks ready to go to school, mom has their lunches packed on the table, She turns to get something out of the cabinet and her shirt rides up revealing a tramp stamp that says "Juicy"... While Dad may agree, the kids looked a little troubled, lol.
So what are your thoughts surrounding tattoos?
