I'm horrible with faces and names!
and if I can't recall people I've met once 5 years ago, why would I expect someone else to be any better?

If she's worth it, re-verify. Otherwise, have good recent references.

my 2 cents

This one is mainly for the guys, but welcome the female perspective as well.  There was a provider I had seen multiple times, but the most recent was a while ago....as in 4-5 years.  I must have made a hell of an impression, but she did not remember me when I contacted her recently.  She wanted a new set of provider references, and my thinking was that repeating with a provider was the best way to avoid that drudgery.

There are plenty of fish in the sea, so I opted to skip a 2nd round of verification.  What would you have done?

Aren't references kind of painless?  You just provide names and numbers and she does all the calling.   Where does the drudgery come into play?  I'm far from an expert hobbyist and I'm not knocking you - just curious.

I think everyone's just being really careful in light of recent events ... which is probably a good idea.  If you have some references, what does it hurt to send them along?  It could be worse - you could be in my boat.  My only posted review is of a TS girl from years ago (hey, i'll try anything once!) and all of the 4 or 5 other providers I saw back then asked that I not post a review because of it (I respect their wishes, of course) ... and none of them are active anymore to have as my references.

Anyway.  Long story short - there are worse problems to have than providing a little extra screening.  I would say the only person that can decide whether it's worth the extra drudgery or not is you :)

Either way you are going to have to provide screening info so if you enjoyed your time with her before, just submit it.

Many ladies want the info resubmitted as many hobbiest, just like providers change over the years, and some pick up some nasty habits.... there is a reason that most ladies don't give references for anyone they haven't seen in 6 months, and this is one of the reasons.

Given the recent events in the ATL gals are going to be extra careful.

Just fork over the info she needs, I'm sure glad i did.. she sexed me so good i could barely walk afterwards

A little unclear from your post if the lady is requiring verification again after such a long lapse or because she did not remember you.  What you did not say is if you attempted to kickstart her memory with some unique specifics of your meetings or past conversations or even if you gave her a description of yourself.  If no such past information applies, then look at it a little differently - she may be one that really does not keep any records or info on gents, so what is harm in giving her this info again?

Pardon the pyschoanalytical BS, but are you sure your feelings weren't hurt that she did not remember  you and this is really why you opted to skip a 2nd round of verification?  Shhh, don't tell anyone - but I have had a lady that did not remember me either.  My first reaction was just dayum and then I had a little fun with the situation.  Course in my case all I had to do was relate one of my first time meeting activities that I use as an ice breaker.  Well that, and telling her I tend to be a wordy, pompas ass probably helped as well.

but how goddamn hard can in be to say "yea I saw so and so here's her number to check it out."  You got arthritic fingers?

Always remind her to 'calm down' and 'be reasonable'. Otherwise she might forget those things and remain enraged

The bottom line is that I did remind her who I was, but that did not generate a response of any sort.  I am not upset that she did not remember me, but more upset about having to come up with references since my previous ATFs have all retired.  Therefore, the process is a pain in the ass....at least to me in this instance.  I did not dwell on it too long, and was able to book with a lady who previously verified me, but never got together due to scheduling issues.

I appreciate all the viewpoints whether I agreed or not.  Life is too short to hold grudges, so was checking with others to see if my thought process was in line or not.

Frankly, Good clients go bad.  It happens.  If it's been a year since your last appointment - complete rescreening is pretty standard. . Sometimes, if it's been more than several months, we might run the information again and forgo the reference.
Please understand,  we don't screen to be a pain in the ass or to get your information or to harass you and make you jump through hoops.  We need and want the business.  We screen to stay safe and it is NOT uncommon for someone to be fabulous for 10yrs and then all of a sudden turn into some sort of doo doo head.  Some reasons are divorce, family problems, career change, alcohol or drug abuse, mental illness and etceteras.

The problem I have with what you are saying is If you can't remember some one from a few months ago how can they use you as a reference?  You then go on to say a fellow pulled the I saw you several years ago and you say it's a lie but how can you be sure if you can't remember some one from a few months ago? Then you say fellows  have used you for a reference but never seen you before and again I ask how sure are you if you can't remember seeing some one just a few months ago?
