1. You want an "UTR" lady to "proactively" contact you? What part of UTR do you not understand?
2. If it is a fantasy, why does the provider need to be UTR?

Please do not take this the wrong way, but for purely academic reasons I am asking what is the purpose of your reply in this situation? If you thought the person was uninformed or making mistakes in utilization of the TER resources, why not simply point them in the correct direction or leave them alone to discover their own mistake?
In this environment, to ridicule someone for writing something which, though one may consider it ill-conceived, is neither malicious nor confrontational, is a little like meeting someone on the street and slapping them because you simply don't like the way they look.
I am asking you to present a legitimate reason because at the moment you appear to be a bit of a school yard bully.... at least in this situation.

No, you have chosen to make this a public post when you could have PM'ed me, so obviously you are trying to make this part of your business. So - I shall respond in public.
a) I don't know you and b) you seem to think I give a shit about what you think of me. I can assure you that at least one of those assumptions is wrong. Seems to me it is your problem in how you view my posts, not sure where I see it as mine.
I do find your comment interesting about this environment, I am on an adult hobby board - where are you? I have never noticed academic reasoning to be prevalent in this hobby. It is just not as cerebral as you would make it out.

Funny you would make such statements to me when I have never used an alias in all the time I have been here and yet I have never seen you make any such statement to alias posts. So, I can only surmise that you are singling me out - that seems downright confrontational.
Aside from all that, go back and look at the thread and seequence of posts nimrod. I would not have made the second post had the OP not kept it up and even whined about having someone point out the folly of their request. Not once, but in two separate posts.
Oh and consider this - to have used an alias - the poster had to be VIP. One would hope a VIP knows a little bit more about how this hobby works. And lastly, from a purely scholastic point of view, I believe I stated that it was NOT like I had said..... I would have thought someone with your obvious sensitivities would have comprended that. Oh, silly me - I get it now - you are unhappy because I suggested another for your position. My apologies, how callous of me - jobs are hard enough to come by.

Academically I was attempting to determine if being on "an adult hobby board" gave one license to behave as less than an adult.

I singled you out because your post appeared to have no other intent than to point a mean spirited finger. Which in my experience, (VIP from 2000 to mid 2007 and then rejoined in 2008 to present, and have read pretty much every post every day) is actually a rare occurrence on this board. Had nothing to do with the use of aliases. I am sure sometimes aliases are used out of cowardice, but I don't assume the OP was expecting to be ambushed so in this case I must conclude he was seeking discretion. Nothing wrong with that.
As for confrontation, that's not a dirty word. I did and am currently confronting you in hopes of an explanation. In contrast, the OP did NOT confront you, yet you verbally attacked him.

In the above example it is the use of the word "nimrod" that makes you sound like a bully. Also considering anyone who responds defensively to you as having "whined" is further evidence of this mind set.

What I offered you in my original post was feedback, without emotional attachment, on how your behavior appeared on the board, thinking perhaps it was out of character for you, however you keep displaying the same behavior. What am I or anyone else to conclude?
My point is simply this, I don't think verbally bitch slapping someone does anything productive for the TER community and actually almost certainly leaves a bad impression on lurkers making them less willing to contribute.
If you can offer any explanation as to how your statements in this thread have benefited the community, I would love to read them. I'm not saying all posts have to be somehow obviously beneficial, but is it too much to ask that they not be detrimental?
bwcoyote, I've read lots of things you posted over quite sometime, and I don't think you are normally like this. If you're having a bad couple of days, fine, own up to it. On the other hand, if this really is you, then I'm disappointed and I'm likely not the only one.

Replies were pretty concise and while pointed were not excessively abrasive or deeming.
I can name five or six others that have the potential to be much harsher, on some days I would probably be on that list.
Perhaps it is just some pre-Easter fluffy bunny thin skin syndrome or possibly a bit of pre-good Friday martyr wannabe tendencies showing up.
Face it, we all will make stupid post from time to time, just man up and roll with it, instead of all dropping into drag queen kat fights.
BW please keep posting. You have offered me great advice over time and even once or twice gave me a reality bitch slap when needed. I for one appreciate the clarity and brevity of you opinions and occasional corrective post
