Your thoughts?

I like a little Daniels some time, but prefer Crown myself.   And in the heat, Vodka tonic is refreshing.

I have become a vodka man just this year.

for taking that away from me!!
lol oh well I was probs drunk when I heard it.

I bartended for 28 years before this. Potato Vodka is the best. You will NEVER get a hangover no matter how much you drink. Grain vodkas can and will give you bad hangovers. Now potato vodkas are on the high end Chopin or Belvedere  Ketel One or on the low end usually Polish with names that are hard to pronounce like Luksosowa or Baczewski or Wybrowa. A little more harsh than the high ends but if you use soda or juice anyway you cant tell.

Good to know PT, thanks.  Will keep in mind next time i am shopping for Vodka.

According to this list Grand Teton and Luksuslwa look like worth a try!

Well I LOVE a good Vodka.  I will definitely be checking that out :)
Thanks for sharing this!

If anyone buys any Woody Creek or Famous Rose the fancy one,  save the bottle for me.  LOL

I like a good cold vodka and tonic.  Very refreshing on a hot summer day.

HiJacks turn into the best or worst of threads. I don't mind when they get funny... When they turn into drama.. That I can do without  :)

Whiskey, Bourbon, whatever. They almost all give me headaches. Some claim Johny Walker doesn't but blue over black or redd but regardless of whatever color - they all have negative after effects. It may be my singular flaw.

I'm GA born and raised so I prefer stuff homemade by my Scots-Irish ancestors and extended family. I prefer an "Apple Brandy", but it is only used for medicinal purposes.

As far as store bought stuff goes - Single Malt Speyside Scotch. legal age or older.
My fave is an 18 MacCallan, followed by an 18 GlenFiiddich, then their respective 21s. I can't palate the differences b/w 18 and 21 to justify the price differences, but I enjoy them just the same.

in budget mode, George Dickel is a really good whisky (yes, not whiskey) that is under the radar and not mass marketed like Jack Daniels.

If you want to try something different and really quite tasty, I have , well access to, LOL, some very good Pineapple Moonshine made in the woods.  LOL  Let me know and I will allow you to sample.  Hmmm,  should have invite you to a get together over the past weekend.  BBQ and shine.  Cant beat it.
