I've always wondered this. When I look at one of the Top 100 lists, what exactly am I looking at? how are they ranked? are they voted on? is it mathematical like an algorithm of some sort? it does not appear to be as simple as scores for looks, performance or total reviews. And how recent is the information that is used in determining the rank? Looks like several who have been retired are still ranked pretty high?
This is true but if it is purely mathematical then the averages must be weighted in some way I can't figure out. Just because I like puzzles, I was trying to use the available numbers and reproduce the list on my own but it never came out the same. Made me wonder if maybe moderators have some sort of say in it?
Not sure what they are. But I assume minimums within a rolling time frame. Such as 15 reviews in past 3 months. Or something like that. Or low number of records would skew any results.
