Ok, since I've been doing this for eight months, maybe I'm no longer a newbie, but in the spirit of generating some fun responses, here's a couple of questions to folks new at this.
1. How many times did you have to call or email an agency or provider before you finally got up enough courage to make and show up at an appointment?
For me, it took five tries. I was sure the providers were actually undercover LE or the agency would secretly videotape my performance then blackmail me by threatening to upload it on You-tube! Lol
2. What was your biggest surprise when you finally went through with a date?
For me it was finding out how NORMAL the providers were. I mean i had thought they'd be spaced out, runaway junkies or something. Instead, they've all been interesting, intelligent, independent, personable, adventuresome, funloving, cool, together women. In short, they've all been the type of women I would have wanted to be friends with ( platonically or otherwise) had I met them in the "real" world. (and the fact that they were all hot babes who were great in bed didn't hurt either)
Every time I try a new agency or indie. I guess that is why I tend to like to find a small group of indies and stay within their group of friends or use a single agency and see every lady there.
I agree with your finding about the ladies. Most are level headed business people with an artistic ability to deliver passion and compassion.

I found TER by mistake and 'Hobby-ing' was the furthest thing from my mind! And, after weeks of reading reviews, I mustered up enough nerve to call an agency and set up an 'appointment' for a week later. As the date approached, I became more anxious with thoughts of "what if I get caught", 'Could it be a set up", and things along those lines. But to answer the question....weeks!
2. What was your biggest surprise when you finally went through with a date?
Other than me showing up! Honestly, just how much I enjoyed the 'time', the 'fantasy', and the company, and even though I am very happy with my life, there was something else out there that could make fell so alive!! I haven't looked back since (except to relive each wonder experience).
As a side note, I whole heartedly agree with your description of how wonderful each beautiful 'provider' has been, and also would consider it an honor to be call her friend in the 'real' world.
