Anyone this unhappy for this long must have a reason, I think he is simply mad at life for having dealt him such a shitty hand.

At least when I am being an asshole (which I will admit is most of the time) I at least try to be funny while doing so. There is nothing funny about Fungus, he really seems like a miserable person. I would feel downright sorry for him, but I have a bet riding on him to repeat as SPOTY. My money is looking pretty damn safe right now, wouldn't you agree?

In Search Of post are often a problem, but legitimate

I get why people can be frustrated with them. Heck TER created a general board only for them because they were a problem on several regional boards. The best answer is to probably report the post and ask it to be moved.

Many ISO post are from guys who don't know how to search or are two lazy to search to see if a profile has been updated. They see their favorite is no longer on an agency web page and just broadcast the request.

Some guys just feel like they are hounding the lady and we instinctively feel like we should protect the lady.

But ISO post do serve a purpose. Agency willingness to send you to a competitor is highly variable. It had to have been a friendly break or you need to be a reliable customer to get the info typically.

Often ladies have multiple stage names, if you don't know her different identities and no one has updated profile creating a link, it can be challenging.

Sometimes you just want to check up on old friends that gave retired and send good karma out to them.

I think the angst generated by ISO post varies by how often it is used and how it comes across. I would suggest you try a bit of research before you post one. Use the pm function to the agency or recent reviewer, make a call, etc. if the ISO post really bugs you, report it to TER admin and ask it be moved to the ISO main board, it will die there. But I would suggest tolerance, there are some valid reasons for them.

I've talked to a few providers that no longer participate on the Atlanta board because of the drama and vitriol. They do not see this as a very friendly place.

You act like asking the question “why don’t you call and ask?" was convoluted in its interpretation by others, but do you think it is lost on us that the content of the post was "What is with you morons?"? This perjorative phrase is not exactly polite conversation. Personal attacks are supposed to be against ER policy:

"Criticizing ideas & opinions is a normal process of debate & each person should expect to have ideas challenged. That being said, personal attacks such as denigration of another person's character or value have no place in such discussions."

My tact, for the most part, is to ignore posts that I find irritating. To yours, however, I felt a need to reply because it reflects a basic problem with this board (NOT all your fault) -- and it is a problem that is keeping some of the ladies from participating. This is a BIG PROBLEM(tm).

I found the OP to be annoying (as I do all of the ISOs) - there are better ways of tracking down a girl - assuming she wants to be tracked down. You pointed out one possibility. That said - your response was gratuitously insulting. Had you not included the insult - it probably would not have attracted the attention that it did. The OP may have been annoying - but it really did not merit that. It merited being IGNORED - except by someone who actually had concrete information to offer.

Regardless - some minimal level of civility on the boards is a good thing; you got called on it - and ganged up on about it. Honestly - I think you deserved it. The reason that I like a minimal level of civility is that more women participate that way; without that minimum level of civility they don't. It's a girl thing. These boards without the women would be pointless.

If you start lobbing around insults expect to be insulted in return, especially if you screw up the spelling and grammar

His remark about lack of participation from the ladies due to the drama and negativity is shared by several ladies. He has a valid point. Even though I know some use their sarcasm and wit as a way to add spice to the board, but some are just looking to personally antagonize someone who does not use the board as they believe they should. if you don’t go along with him, he will first call you “stupid", second he will call you “moron” third he will harass you by calling all kinds of derogatory words he can think of to run you off the board. He has few like minded people on the board (Drunky and Inicky mostly).

Since he participates on different boards (general, politics and other regional board) you can check out the pattern on other boards. Should be easy since Gumpy is the #1 poster.
