Everytime I set up an apointment with a provider I ask if if the pics are really them. They always answer yes, so there I sit and wait in anticipation of seeing who is going to show up at my door. So far so good,because the girls eith fake pics were actually hotter than the photos they were posting as them.

I can tell you that being a 10 year member and giving back to the community ( 3 times the reviews of a moderator ) doesn't mean a thing with TER.

TER is pretty customer friendly and its moderators try hard to be fair to everyone at all times, which is impressive considering how large and diverse its membership base is.
Regrettably, the same can't be said for the other site. It's dominated by a few (4) active, established members, who have its moderators in their back pockets.
To be fair though, the moderators at that other site are probably desperate to keep those 4 active, established members happy and are more than willing to bend over backwards to keep them satisfied, even at the expense of growing its membership ranks.

One person can compliment a provider's picture and it's okay. Another can and it be removed because it's considered a shill. I maintain it's all about who is getting shilled and/or who the poster is.

However, I maintain that TER generally does a superior job when it comes to maintaining its objectivity given it has a much larger and more diverse membership than the 411 website.
The subjectivity of the 411 forum and its ruling junta of 4 active members is so obvious for all to see. They routinely declare themselves the only "No drama" forum, much like Fox News routinely declares that it's "fair and balanced". Say something about yourself enough times and eventually people will begin to suspect something is amiss.
It also doesn't help that a 411 member wrote a drama thread lamenting how lonely he is and how he can't seem to find a lover. So much for their enforcing a "No drama" forum.

that I have nothing against the 411 forum personally, here's some constructive criticism.
It would be a bad idea to follow AlterEgo's recent suggestion to further restrict the general public from viewing your forum (as per the old G&L site that he referenced).
What any new site needs is more "eyeballs" / "clicks". Further restricting the general public beyond the current 5-click limitation system in place will only serve to hamper those who are curious as to what your site is all about.
Also, continuing to refer to yourselves as the "No drama" site amongst yourselves (all 4 of you active members) will mainly serve to have newcomers sense that something is amiss and wonder what is going on with you all.
If you're truly a "No drama" site then your actions will speak for itself.
Of course, having one of your active 4 members post about his lack of a personal, intimate love life doesn't really count towards "No drama", now does it?

The denial reason "other, contact moderator", or "personal information" are used because there's no disapproval selection that says "post was denied because you're so fucking full of yourself that you feel the need to announce you're too cheap to support the site, yet so cool that everyone will still want to talk to you privately".
Sorry...but publicly announcing you're leaving, and bitching about a site...doesn't really fly will with people who donate a LOT of hours toward helping things run smoother and filtering out TONS of shit content, viruses, and spam...so that the boards are all nice and pretty.

As for those 4 persons at the 411 forum, their value as TER members is irrelevant when it comes to treating the TER forum as if it were their own. They, like the rest of us, have to abide by the rules set forth by TER and enforced by its moderators. No execptions.
Given that they're trying to recruit new 411 members from existing TER members, I'm sure they're quite happy over there given all the preferential treatment the 411 moderators are giving them for their efforts.

The number of reviews do not matter. Moderators cannot post reviews, should probably have limits on board post as well, but I would respectfully request you lay off this line of commentary. I believe the bigger concerns you are trying to address are:
1). Inconsistent enforcement of the no comments on theme day postings. Yet in fairness to dd, once he is aware of the error, he does remove them. However other moderators simply do not care
2). Over posting by self proclaimed gods of ter
3). Hostile environment that is causing many people to stop contributing that have been mainstays for years, regardless of where they are posting

it's only natural to use the 411 site as a foil.
Whether you or the 411 site believe you aren't in competition with TER is irrelevant. There are enough similarities between the 2 sites (provider reviews, forums, VIP members, etc.) that drawing comparisons between the 2 sites is natural and bound to happen.
As it is, TER is superior in practically every way imaginable to 411.
Perhaps the 411 site may one day close the gap, as much as an uphill climb it seems at the moment. But given their current operating methodology, it will take them a very long time to do so.
