The verification conundrum

Not stood up - she had an auto accident.  On a Saturday afternoon.  No alternative who had screened me was available and, therefore, no way to be verified by someone new.  (Date-check doesn't seem to be adequate all alone.)  Real Catch-22.  Wound up next day with an agency that had cleared me previously and had one of my favs available then.  Tough day for a horny old guy.  Don't believe there is a good answer for this one.

Ever been stood up?  If not, you haven't been doing this long enough! :)
What do you do?  Flop around helplessly and try to line up something last minute?  Or do you take the money you planned on using for the session and blow it like I did recently?  About a month ago I got stood up by a "high end" girl (for the second time) in the Perimeter area.  The benefit?  I had enough ready cash to buy myself a toy at the Apple store -- the new iPad.
Anybody else buy themselves something nice in lieu of the unexpected canceled session?

the one time (out of 3) that a provider cancelled and I chose to not reschedule or see someone else at that time I saved the donation and saw another provider about 3 weeks later for a longer time.

I had a situation once where I contacted two ladies and set up with the first to respond. However, the second lady was so very nice about everything that quickly diverted some funds just to meet her. Had an even better time with the second than the first.
