I see many ads stating "no texts" But, have read reviews where Hobbyist complained the Provider wanted to setup everything via text.

Some girls don't insert any rates into their ads, so a quick text could be much more efficient to calling, getting Voice Mail and then trying to field a return call.

Where does everyone (Providers & Hobbyists) stand on texting ?

For me, texts usually imply a request for an immediate response, which the responder might not be in a position to provide right then. Also, many people do not have unlimited texting plans. As nowadays many people have email on their phone anyway, why not just use that?

If a provider wanted to use texts I would, but I'd prefer other methods of communication personally.

...... I already know them.  I don't save numbers. So, I never know who is texting me.  I prefer email by far!

I Never TXT biz or try not to.. The sattelite companys mandated by homeland security now require them to store ALL texta for 90 days. That is a bad paperless trail LOL.. No seriously Just cuz your cell company doesnt have them and you think theyre gone once deleted.. Think again.
Do No Buisness in Text.. Unless youre on an untraceable hobby phone :)

Rolling over and tapping on your ass with my erection, but so far that's just a dream.  I guess I'll just keep texting you until you back up that butt, lmao

Personally, it doesn't bother me at all. I know some things are just easier and more efficient for my clients as well as myself. If I am busy, it is the same as email or a phone call, I can just put it off until I have the time. It has never been an inconvenience or a problem at all for me. Some clients like to text when it has nothing to do with booking but that honestly doesn't bother me either. I enjoy getting to know my clients a little better, if that is what they are in to, outside of a session. To me, just whatever is most convenient and efficient for my clients works for me. My phone accepts calls, texts, and emails immediately so it is all the same to me.

I realize I HAVE to text sometimes but I think the thing we text on is called A phone..yes folks its a phone with an earpiece and a speaker which is far faster than texting. Think about how productive this world would be if there were no texting and no facebook.

I while back, I downloaded a Pizza Hut app, that allowed you to use your phone to order a pizza.  You can pick the crust and all sorts of variables.  I was pretty impressed, thinking that you could finally use your phone to order a pizza.  Then I remembered that I first used a phone to order one when it came with a rotary dial.  I deleted it...

LOL Good one!! Think about it....If you added all the minutes you text and spend on facebook every day (By the way Im not on facebook) youve probably used an entire day a week. What a waste! We have become a bunch of loners.

I don't text with providers. ( unusual circumstances may warrant it.)  I'm not a fan of texting. I agree with a previous poster that said, It's a phone. A call is much quicker. I use e-mail to communicate with independent providers. Agencies, I just call them. PM's work too for incidental communication.

Everyone has really good points. I tend to be pretty busy during the day though whether it be work related, school related family or friend related or whatever and I don't always have the ability to pick up a phone call. If I am around certain people and don't need to be discussing work or whatever the reason may be, texting just tends to make things so much easier and efficient for me. Emails can sometimes take too long, not for me, but for my clients and bottom line to me is this is my business and you guys, my clients, are the other main factor that keeps my business a business and if it is more convenient or even just your prefferred method of communication, then I will accomodate for you. Just as I would accomodate many things to satisfy you guys. I am just simple, and if something works and there are no problems, then I don't try to complicate it.
