I just came back from the doctor and I've got them.  They're not too bad yet - not visible from the outside and not bleeding, but they're there.  Does anyone, provider or hobbyist, have any advice on how to get rid of 'roids?  As one who enjoys butt play - rimming, prostate massage - is there anything you'd recommend I avoid doing?

Maybe abstain from butt play and prostate massage for awhile-watch your diet-and....follow the instructions from your Doc !!

Try Metamucil powder that you mix with water. My doctor suggested it. It worked. May take several days.
Use soft toilet paper. Wipe very gently. Do not use wipes, baby wipes etc.  

Do what doc prescribes and go to a Hyberabic Oxygen Therapy Center; usually a dozen 2 hour treatments will resolve the inflammation. Email [email protected] for any other details.

So no uncovered butt play, including rimming. You are in a high risk group until it clears.
