Well i have been flat stood up by 2 separate 'providers' / escorts this week , both of whom advertise on the local Backpage site , i talked to both of them in advance, they had reviews here , we got along fine , set it all up , etc - - and then when I showed up neither were there ..... one even gave me her room number I went to that door and knocked and no one responded verbally or opened the door . . both made lousy flimsy excuses later and I dropped them off my list immediately ...... thing is , i can not think of a single thing I did or said to cause this ..... A Little Help Here ?? :-/

...They had reviews. Were they good reviews? Did they have more than 2 or 3. Did their reviewers have a lot of reviews? Those answers could be a clue to how reliable they would be but you didn't do anything that would cause them to suddenly stop communication and not show up.

IMHO stay totally OFF BP. Go for indis or good agency

You have to read with some jaded eyes.  Here's a shocker, providers may lie in their ad.  I'll wait while you adjust to the notion.

Now, some who say they are 22...are really NOT 22.  Some who say they are 24 are more like 42.  But don't blame BP.  The same lies go on all the other sites, and to assume otherwise is nuts.

So, the blame is in the lack of research, and possibly (though not stated in this string) budgetary targets.

Here's a rule of thumb....If it sounds too good to be true...there is NO DAMNED WAY it's true.
If it sounds possible...It PROBABLY isn't true.

Don't expect a Scarlett Johannson look alike to be doing unlimited fantasy sessions for $75/hour.  Regardless of where her ad is running.

Don't assume because they are on a big fancy site they are worth more money or better than others.  

You obviously are aware of this site because you posted here.  Do your due diligence, then take risks within your budget.  It's like going to Vegas, play to win, but assume you'll lose unless you know the player.  So finding new ladies is a crapshoot.  Regardless of the ad source.

To malign BP is to also claim such iconic ladies as Terri of Atlanta, Ginger Taylor and a myriad of others are low class rip-off artists.  Are the odds higher on BP, yes, as they are with any UNREVIEWED lady.

Each site has its merits and its issues.

Hobbying should be fun and fulfilling.  It should be thrilling...but often times thrill come with a risk of loss.  That is part of the fun for me PERSONALLY.  I like the hunt and as such often times come up with a skunk when I was hunting deer.  I don't stop hunting and I don't limit the hunt to one field.

Common Sense should rule...and common sense says do some research and be willing to lose what you are going to put into play, because new ladies are a gamble.

If any can, they will be the richest man/woman on earth.

Some really first class ladies use it as part of their advertising.  One told me that some of her semi regular guys won't call her if she doesn't post on BP.  

My opinion is that the amount of trash on BP is so high that it's just about useless.... but obviously others have different opinions.

Well said LsLarry!!  I totally agree horny (honey lol) I used to use BP myself.  Common sense,  checking reviews n also recommendations are wonderful too. TOFTT always involves risk. Determine the budget n research is key. Either way have fun

Ladies who don't screen use their gut and some other tricks of the trade. Did they see you drive up in a car that resembles a cop car like a Crown Vic or something? Do you look like a cop? Whatever that means. Or, a scary motorcycle gang guy or something? Or, are you not white and didn't say you're not white? It seems really common on BP for gals to put race restrictions. I'm guessing some gals don't advertise that they have race restrictions, but will turn down a client if he says he isn't white.

One thing I've found being a provider is it's REALLY easy to get disorganized. Maybe one gal was planning on screening you but forgot and didn't realize until you were already on your way? Maybe the gal that gave you her room number got a phone call for a better offer after y'all hung up. Both unethical, but plausible. Maybe you'll never know.

Since they've got reviews, Backpage really isn't to blame. I am prompt, I keep my promises, and I advertise on Backpage.

I dont blame BP directly but I do wonder NOW about the general ethical quality of MANY (not all)of them on there -- yall know the time old saying - few bad apples spoil it for the good ones
