I've been out of town for the last several days and just read the thread Megan Love started asking about "BulldogEd" and the subject piqued my interest for a number of reasons.
I'm more curious about what the community thinks about Providers using TER to bolster business, affixing the TER logo to their websites, and then declares ".... don't review me without my permission". I always thought the reviews were intended to assist hobbyists in making informed decisions. I respectfully submit that picking and choosing which reviews are posted are contrary to that objective.
I don't want to start yet another thread about how inflated scores/ratings are on TER; however, I do believe the above is one of the reasons contributing to this grade inflation. Most ladies, I think, are a little more subtle than posting this on their website, but isn't there an inherent motive to inflate the grades if a Hobbyist wishes to see the lady again and/or wishes to avoid being called out like this when giving an honest review?
The Catch-22 is if you use your TER handle, history, white list, as your primary means for verification, you cannot easily review someone "anonymously" and if you review honestly, you may shut the door on seeing a Provider again you really enjoyed being with, so you're motivated in inflate your review to avoid a Board rant or not having the option to see the lady again - or worse yet, the psycho Provider that black lists clients if they don't like their review.
Have any guys figured a way around this conundrum without getting caught up in the "she has mostly 9s, and 10s, but she's really a 7 or 8, but I'd like to see her again, so I'd better not rock the boat" habit of reviewing? I couldn't, so I just stopped reviewing and starting buying VIP membership several years ago.
...to be that she didn't believe she had actually seen the guy. She didn't mention having a problem with the ratings. So I didn't really see a problem with the post.
Your point about a provider being on TER and having the logo on a her site and then stating don't review me without my permission is well taken. The point of TER is reviews. If the lady is going to take advantage of this outlet then it should be expected there will be reviews. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Regardless of her wishes I would do a review if there was something that needed to be documented. Poor service, old pictures, etc would be the reason I would review no matter what. I usually let the lady know I'm going to do a review. I've fortunately never had to do a "bad" one. Should a lady ask me not to review the session I would honor that wish as long as everything was as it should be. I've never had a lady ask not to be reviewed.
Some would say do your research and you won't meet a provider that you would put you in the situation of giving a higher score than you think she deserved because you didn't want the drama it might cause.
I do think it's a bit much to use TER and then state, don't review without my permission. I know many ladies that do request that no review be done but they don't make an issue of it by stating it so blatantly.
Everyone has a right to do it their way though. It's up to others to decide what they will do in regard to it.
I now this has been one of the points of discussion about aliases. Many want to be able to be honest without taking unwarranted heat for it.
I don't mind if the provider asks me not to review. But if I saw a statement on her site such as the one you mentioned I'd likely just move on unless there was some compelling reason to ignore it. Actually knowing the lady and maybe the situation that caused her to put it on her site would be a mitigating factor.
Funny you bring this up, I just had a situation come up where I had written a review and gave the numbers 7,7. Now she had been getting 9's and 10's and I didnt feel that those were accurate numbers. I did get several PM's from her asking for my name and email address, which I did not provide again...this was already taken care of in the screening process! I did give her the date, location and time of our meeting, to which she replied she still didn't recall me. The review was just my opinion of our meeting and how she looked to me, one mans 7 is another mans 10. The review is still up but I'm not sure if I have been black listed because of it. Shouldn't we be honest about our time with each lady? Arent these reviews about letting other hobbyist know what their opinion of that provider was. I pay for VIP so I don't write reviews based on a free month of VIP, I write them so fellow hobbyist will know what my time was like with that provider, then they can decide if that's the type provider they wish to visit.
Thanks JP for articulating this problem. Frankly, I did not see any solution either.
So I have started buying VIP to avoid NOT having to write reviews that will lower the lady's score but I do want to see them again. It is especially difficult for a reviewer, when a lower score will reverse an upward trend the lady was enjoying at that moment. However, I have no clue whether it (lowering score) was going to make any true difference in their reception of me if I saw them again - but again like everything else it is all a perception!
Would like to hear if anyone has found a solution.
GG.
Rhetorical Question-If you see a provider and do not mention TER or if it comes do not give out your "TER Handle" how would she know who you were? The dates are vague, you generally don't see a specific location - if the location gets too close to reality it is modified, etc...so basically as I see it-whomever the reviewer was that she was asking about can remain totally anonymous if he chooses to remain so--am I missing something? Also-how would any of us actually know who it was besides the TER Handle unless for some reason you had met for example at a M & G or were friends ........Not getting it !
I may not have been clear though. I stated that I use my TER Handle, contacts, and WhiteList for verification purposes. I would never give the personal information many Providers require for verification, and, like many hobbyists, I use my TER creds for verification.
1. I dont typically give out mt TER handle, and no provider has ever asked me for it.
2. Given the plethora of beauties in Atlanta, I would not see any reason to repeat with anyone I gave a 7 to or less.
1. I use my TER Handle for verification. 2. I agree if the "7" was in Performance; however, with respect to a 7 in Appearance, you are EXACTLY making my point!! I would strongly suggest that over 90% of Atlanta's beauties (and any other city's beauties) are in actuality a 6 ("Nice Looking") or 7 ("Attractive") with perhaps 8% considered 8 ("Really Hot") and 1.75% 9s ("Model Material") and maybe one or two 10s. Just like there is a Bell Curve in intelligence, there is a Bell Curve in Appearance as well - whether anyone wants to believe it or not. Yeah, yeah, one man's 6 is another's 10... beauty is in the eye of the beholder.. {jack-off motion...} LOL!
And yes, I most definitely would return to see a "Nice Looking" or "Attractive" lady if her personality and performance were above average, but with the current inflated scoring, it is common to think you are visiting a 9 or a 10, but when you open the door, you're disappointed, but know you must too inflate her score if you want to see her again.
I've read stories on the various boards where guys have been blacklisted for given out 7's and 8"s when the lady had 9's and 10's from prior reviewers. There was a time in the past where that kind of thing was not tolerated by ter but not any more.
If I see a provider who is getting great reviews--8-9-10 and I see her and there just was not a connection or I thought the session was sub-par I just don't write a review until I get a chance to see her again(if I do)
Like us, women are not robots, they get tired, cranky, overworked, having family problems whatever...so I do not think it's right to rate a woman on a 1 hour or 2 hour time slot if it wasn't that good of a session IF she usually gets higher scores....
If however she has priors that are low and some that are high, I don;t have a problem with putting up a bad/fair review...
