Only one provider made it uncomfortable. Maybe because she used too much pressure or because it was too big. Otherwise, I didn't notice any great difference. A provider having a pierced tongue doesn't make it or break it for me.

I've only had a limited number of experiences with tongue rings. Now of course as always, technique as well as the size and/or kind of ring surely can make a difference I'm sure, but for me I was not really able to tell anything different or special at all to be honest.
