Sorry if you have had trouble reaching me, there was an emergency in the family and I had to leave at the last minute unexpectedly to drive up to Raliegh, NC. My 77 year old diabetic grandmother (who raised me as her own after my mom died at 11) has been in an assisted living home (read nursing home)for the past year and a half. Her condition and psychological well-being were deteriorating. I somehow sensed this and after not being able to reach her by telephone, I decided that it was time to do something.
So I have brought her down here to Atlanta to live with me. She is so incredibly happy I can't tell you how good it makes me feel. It is going to be a financial strain for me and that means I will need to work, but it will be worth it.
