When a lady asks for your references what does she want?

She wants to know if u have seen any other providers that can vouch for u...

she wants to make sure, as best she can, that you are a legit prospect.
if you have no reviews that she can reference and contact the ladies, you should be prepared to provide real name, work website/location/phone numbers.
the more info you give in the begining, the less she will worry about you.

Refs are nice to have...but if I don't know the lady who is being used as a ref then it does me no good.

References are nice, but references can only go so far.  Really, all you have to do is read a hobbyis' review, pick one of the ladies being review and say, I'm Jimmy and I've seen Barbie.  The provider in question asks Barbie is she has seen Jimmy and there you go.
