Just ran across this one.

Consider this. An independent provider not only runs a very low keyed operation but takes great pride in the presentation of her location and the discretion of her business. So, in essence you have a small business being ran (*and paying some serious taxes, not to mention license fees, and other administration charges*) plus if she is established and successful she also adds to the hotel, restaurant, retail and other business income in the area.

Rarely would an independent need law enforcement involved in her business. She would basically remain silent, unseen and unheard from. ... and don't forget she adds to the City's taxable revenue in a major way.....

Yet some Cities are trying to shut down independents and "Protect" society from them. I don't know I just don't get it. I mean it isn't like I am running to the DA every other week asking for warrants due to NSF checks or  I'm not calling for backup every other day for possible petty theft of property because I have a shoplifter. So what huge demand would an independent place on our LE that would be such a strain and distract them from their crime fighting activity????   I just don't get it, but I'm just a hooker so what do I know about running a City and making it a safe and desirable area to live in....   kisses.. ~Tori

Im not sure if they are protecting society from Independants. I think they are protecting what they feel is a completely unsafe way to go about providing. All the crazyness I hear of robberies,rapes,beatings,murders are either escorts or independants that are working alone. I think they feel they are saving them from themselves and the huge danger they are in at all times when you are alone with a stranger. Whether its alone in a house,apartment or hotel.
Its my theory and Im sticking to it
