Your out for the evening, and you see a former client?

I was at a resturant tonight with my SO and saw a client I had been with last week. He saw me as well, and neither of us seemed sure what to do so we did nothing and avoided eye contact.   Lator when I got up to go to the restroom, He was there also  going to the mens room. WE said hello and that it was nice to see eachother then went back to our tables. Clearly we both felt uncomfortable.  What exactly is proper protocal in this situation?

We ladies have to maintain discretion with our clients.  Other than when we see them in the privacy of a session, we don't know them.  We're their sexy little secrets and must remain that way always.  There has been one time in my career that I have acknowledged a client when I saw him in public and that was because he spoke first.... and then he introduced me to his wife as a friend and "co-worker."  ROFLMAO

Jaclyn :)

It would be impossible to ignore you Jaclyn.  I'd do as the client you describe did, except I'd introduce you as my client... LOL

Sometimes doing nothing is the best thing, but then and again it just depends on the situation, there are all types of different measures for different situations, in your situation on that particular evening you did that right thing by descreetly not saying anything at all until the situation meant for you both to just acknowledge one another, nothing strange about speaking to someone going to the restroom, but remember this "ITS ALL MENTAL" if you can keep your mental stability in check its all good.

PEACE
