Has anyone come up with a day, time, location, for the next Board Meeting. If I am able to go, I need to make my plane reservations about three weeks in advance!!

But can we consider having it at a location where we can all hear each other speak?  The strip club is great; believe me...but I've heard several people comment that you can't hear a darn thing...

Anyway, just a suggestion...maybe a restaurant with a private room?

Perhaps a popular bar that is crowded, but not as loud as the strip-clubs?

On several different occassions, there has been concern expressed about the "discretion" of the Board Meetings, since they are publically announced, everyone and anyone who finds out about them can attend, etc.

However, I can think of nothing less discreet than this crowd meeting in a "regular" bar or restaurant, and then some of the participants engaging in lewd and lacivious behavior.  Face it guys, a lot of us like to attend these gatherings for the cheap thrills of watching the ladies flash some skin, paw and kiss on each other, and occassionally kiss us or let us cop a feel.  And the fault (if any), can't be placed solely on the women, cause we're the ones buying them drinks and shooters and encouraging them.

In a strip club like the Pink Pony, this may draw the attention of some jealous guys (who want to know how they get to join the party) or some jealous dancers (who are trying to get paid for flashing skin and permitting a grope or two), but is otherwise just another bunch of adults carrying on in an adult manner in an adult establishment.  In Dave and Buster's, or Three Dollar Cafe (are there any of those left?), or any other "regular" place, it may draw the attention of nosy do-gooders who just might be offended enough to call the cops on the way out.  Even when such gatherings have been held in a private room of an otherwise open-for-regular-business establishment, they have attracted extra attention when the R-rated (and sometimes X-rated) activities begin.

I can understand the desire for more, and easier, conversation, so here's two ideas I'll throw out:

1) try switching to one of the less popular strip clubs, that would be thrilled to get an extra 20-30 customers on an otherwise slow Monday or Tuesday night, and in exchange would be willing to cut way back on the sound system volume.  Drawback: the quality and quantity of dancers, that both the guys *and* girls like to play with, is likely to be lower

2) alternate between gatherings at the Pink Pony (which can be the let-it-loose anything-goes someone-loses-his-shirt-in-the-VIP-room but-you-can't-hear-a-damn-thing-anyone-says nights) and a "regular" place (which can be the easy-to-hear-polite-conversation everyone-keeps-their-clothes-on-and-hands-to-themselves nights)

I love the kissing and groping and cheek-cupping, and naked girls lends a touch of class, don't you think ladies? LOL As for the noise, maybe we could whisper(or shout) in each other's ears. I think that if we were in a private room in a restaurant or bar, there wouldn't be the spontaneity that we'd get in a PP or similar titty bar. Just my 2 cents!

I think a strip club is perfect!!  Or maybe we can have it at somebodies house or rent a place for the night?

It would be worth renting a place, I think all the guys would be willing to part with some cash to have our own place?

Although I've been to a handful of strip clubs around town over the years, I am hardly up to speed on all of them, and its been several years since I last set foot in one.  So do ALL of them play the music so loud you can't hear a word anyone is saying?  While I do recall the music playing fairly loud in my experiences at these clubs, I don't recall it being terribly difficult to talk to the dancers for example.  Surely there is at least one strip club that doesn't require their music volume to be at 10?  

If not, I tend to like the idea about asking some of the clubs if they'd be willing to "cater" to a group of 20-30 people on an otherwise slow week night in exchange for taking the volume down a notch or two.

I go to a happy hour in Houston every time I go there. They meet weekly at a restuarant that has a patio so they can get some privacy- but no skin is allowed of course. It works out well- you can actually have a nice conversation while meeting others in the hobby. After a few hours it starts breaking up- some go to strip clubs, some go hobby, some go home.
The owner of the restuarant is happy for the extra business and takes good care of them.

Is Monday, Nov 8 a firm date????

1) Music and dancing if you like.
2) Conversations can be heard.
3) You wouldn't have to worry about being ultra-conservative or being 86'd.
4) Lot's of interesting things to look at.
5) Opportunities to discuss presidential debates and socialize with other patrons.
