They sure can.  It depends on LE and what charges they want to press.

I was driving another provider to one of her calls (her car was in the shop, and she asked me to drive her to see a "client") and needless to say it was a sting.  I was waiting for her in my car, and next thing I know I have a gun in face and LE is asking me all sorts of questions.  They asked to search my car.  I told LE that technically he needed a warrant, but he could knock himself out.  They searched the car and turned up nothing.  The other officer asked if they were taking me in for Pimping.  Yes, you heard correctly...pimping.  The other officer said, no, because I was being cooperative, and I didn't lie about anything (I told him I was an escort also), and when they ran my license it came back clean.  That was the only thing that saved my ass. The senior officer (the one with the gun in my face) was a little nicer, but the second guy...he was itching stick that pimping charge.

Moral of the story is just be careful.  I have heard of other drivers, particularly male drivers going to jail.  Usually the charge is pimping and if you are into extra ciricular activites, then that's an add'l charge as well.

I can't say do it or don't do it, but, be very careful.

I am thinking about becoming a driver for local providers (agency girls and independents)who need/want transportation to incall/outcall locations.

A provider/friend of mine has informed that there is a need for this and that it would be a good source of extra income, however, I'm concerned about L.E.!

Has anyone here ever heard of any drivers being held resopnsible or considered an accomplice in incidents where providers have been busted?  If drivers are held accountable, is there a way I can legally get around this and still work as a driver?

Any information or advice will be helpful.  Thanks in advance!

I have been a basic member for a while but have never posted.  However, I'm an attorney so I thought I'd tackle this one.

A person can be convicted as a principal of a crime if he furthers the crime in any way, this includes encouraging or assisting.  In Georgia, the accomplice is treated the same as the principal if he is caught.  The only way an accomplice would be totally immune is if he had no actual knowledge of the criminal activity.  I do not have the code with me so can not be as specific as i would like, but there is also the charge of pandering, which is procuring a prostitute for another, whether or not you profit from it.  Both are misdemeanors and are punishable by up to 12 mos. jail and $1,000 fine, or both.  But unless you have an extensive history, your more likely to get a smaller fine and probation.

Having said all of that, I think that the main reason people use this site is for safety.  You're taking no more of a risk than any of the hobbyists or providers here as long as you are safe.  This is one where you have to weigh the gains (profit) vs. the possible losses (arrests).

Greetings:
Just thought I'd add my two cents. In North Fulton I am sure you can rely on: Tom Salata 770/408-7004   and in Atlanta, Alan Begner has been in the Adult Entertainment Legal field for years 404/872-5727. In my opinion both are about the best you can get in their field. I know I feel much more confident having them explain the laws to me. AND I definitely like to go straight to the source!  You can BC me if you need any info on either.   kisses  Candace

Do drivers get shot at?

What do you do as a driver if the Provider is attacked?

Are you prepared for this?
