Just so everyone will know, I did offer to provide references and we were speaking in code.

Everyone knows I like a provider with a little meat on their bones. I saw the picture of Ivory on Eros and then read the review.  The review was less than favorable but she's the body and face type that I like.  Also, there was only one review and I thought well, maybe she was having a bad day so I decided to give her a call.

She uses a "receptionist".  The phone number lists as Chocolate Fantasies but she is clearly white so I was a little confused and wanted to make sure the ad was as posted.  When I called they kept trying to get me to schedule the appointment but I wanted to talk to the provider herself because I wanted to make sure that she'd provide the services I wanted.  Finally, I got the provider on the phone and during our conversation discovered that she doesn't DFK or some other things I wanted and we decided that she probably isn't the provider for me.

I post all this only to say if it's your first time calling a provider be sure to talk to her yourself so you can be clear that the services you want coincide with the services the provider delivers.

I'm sure the more experienced hobbyists have already figured this out but thought I'd post anyway.

That's the problem with so many of you guys!  You ask too many questions over the phone and often we can't answer, or we don't because we think you are LE!  She was STUPID TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS!

When a guy asks too many questions about what we offer especially in detail, it makes me (and most of us) think he's LE.  We automatically say things like "I don't offer that."  or "I only offer legal services" or "I only do massage" so we do not get an unwanted visit.  I may offer exactly what you want but I certainly won't tell you over the phone, especially if I don't know you.

That girl deserves to get in trouble for being so stupid!

Good point, but still there are ways of letting guys know what you do and don't do.  This "I don't give my services over the phone," are the very tools rip-offs used to get our cash!  Just my opinion.  Such is the value of reviews!  But all-in-all, you make a good point!

......so how are we to prevent B&S tactics???

.....the questions ARE necessary IF they are general questions....

....the point here is to make sure the hobbiest is meeting the actual provider on the other end of the phone to prevent B&S and as an additional precaution , the hobbiest should also print out a picture of the provider from her page (whether she's an indy or not)to prevent bait and switch.....

.....so , if providers are going to great lengths to B&S hobbiests , hobbiests should go the same lengths to prevent it....

my 2 cents

Great post--nothing wrong with helping out a bit.  (BTW, I like a little meat on the bones too!)

There are a selective grouping of services like true gfe (DFK, DATY, etc) that if the provider does not give, then you might as well go to any dateline provider and pay 50 bucks to get.  If a provider is going to give you head, then stick her butt in the air and say have at it (doggie), I really feel sorry for that provider.  Experience in this hobby pays dividends--people who help others in the hobby, priceless!

if you speak in code and the lady still refuses to see you cus she thinks you're LE.....your bases are pretty much covered ....ESPECIALLY if references were provided....
