Did you ever experience any dysfunction if you had a a little pot at luv-making time ??
I've read many of the forums relating to Viagra and there was an article in the AJC on Friday about it but I've still got some questions someone may be able to help with.
I understand if you've got erectile dysfunction that Viagra will allow you to get it up and that's a great thing, but what does it do for you if you take it and you don't have an erection problem? Do you keep it up any longer? Get harder quicker? Get harder than usual and keep it up longer? Are you able to go for round two quicker?
I've heard that the "blue pill" has become a party favor for younger guys but what's the point if you're in your 20's or 30's? I guess I know the answer to that and it relates to the fact that you feel invincible, want to try new things and why not be ready for anything. But at that age I was rarely unable to come to the plate, in fact I often had to sit and let things calm down so I wouldn't be embarrassed and I think that fits most younger guys. When I couldn't perform it was due to the other substances in my blood stream and not being able to have sex was for the best during these times (times of very poor judgement and loss of any common sense). Of course I know that the boy scout moto is to "always be prepared".
I wonder if Viagra is a bigger social issue that relates to general low self esteem and wanting a quick fix to all of our problems. I certainly understand why someone who is older or has a real health problem would want to get it up (few things are better than getting laid) but I would think it would be a point of pride for younger guys to not need any help.
Any feed back would be appreciated. I'd think that weather you are young, old, male or female you'd have some thoughts on this issue.
Thanks ahead of time.
I tried Viagra and it didn't do a thing for me. My urologist told me that that is the experience of at least 50% of the ED patients. I take an injection about ten minutes before the action
and it's good for about 90min. I take the trimix formulation!
By all means, see your urologist. If your libido is working (i.e. girls still turn you on) you should have good results. I'm up front with the providers and tell them the situation.... they will usually be understanding. I had only one provider who was turned off, she admitted it was psychological and it was a bad experience for me.
By all means see your urologist, he'll do some tests and suggest the best course of action for you. I'm 76 and I adore women, and I just can't stand not to be with a beautiful, intelligent sexy lady, and ATL, in fact the world, is full of them.
Good luck, Bro.
Well I'm on my 4th urologist and they haven't found the problem yet. My libido doesn't exist anymore. It happened suddenly after a serious flu-like virus back in 2002. They keep telling me that all of my numbers are good so they can't understand why I have problems. I'm only 38 years old and should not be experiencing this. I first tried Viagra and it worked for a little bit then it failed. I then switched to 10mg Levitra and it worked a few times then failed. Then onto 20mg, worked for a short time. Had some 10's left over so I combined them with the 20's for 30mg total. Again worked once or twice then nothing so now I take two 20's and still have some trouble. I have lost a lot of sensation during this period of time as well so combine that with no libido means big trouble. I'm about ready to throw in the towel and admit that I'm finished.
Ace1965,
Have you tried watching a porno flick shortly after taking your meds? It may help.
If you are watching porn, and that doesn't help get the libido going, it may be that you need a beautiful body and one who is trained to check you out... such as a sex therapist!!
If you would like more info, send me a private msg.
Can't PM you because your username in not registered to receive PM's.
Gunga, you are the man! I want to be just like you when I'm in my 70's. I can't imagine these feelings ever going away at any age and it's encouraging to know things can still get worked out. I appreciate the advice, I haven't had the need to make a doctors visit, I was more interested on what Viagra would do for someone who doesn't need it and why people would take something they don't need.
Thanks for the great reply and keep on doing what you're doing.
Damn Inspiring!! You give me something to look foreward to.
If you are ok without any "help" Viagra will do relatively little for you. It may help you get it up faster and to stay hard a bit longer, but if you are young and already are pretty good in that department, then it won't have much effect.
I always tended to get a bit nervous with providers - even when I was younger. It sometimes caused performance problems - even though I had no similar problems when more relaxed with an SO. I have found that Viagra fixed that problem for me with providers - the pill plus their "stimulation" has never failed and I have yet to waste an appointment on non-performance issues since taking the blue pill. Could be entirely in my head I will admit - but I don't think so as the Viagra has a definate effect on my entire body. I tend to get some facial flushing and sometimes a mild headache - and my nose runs too. All typical side effects. Again, if you don't have a problem - Viagra probably won't be especially useful, but it does work. I even use it with my SO sometimes just to give me a boost since I am now over 50.
I ordered Viagra recently and it made a difference for me, at least so I thought at the time. However, what really made the difference for me ED-wise was quitting alcohol. Going on two months w/o John Barleycorn, I've found that my sex drive and erections have come back stronger than ever. I've found I don't need Viagra to achieve and maintain an erection.
Hallelujah!

...Per a phone conversation 1 year and approximately 4 months ago. I still remember chatting with you though for a moment. You sound like a young but proactive (good in my opinion) type of stud. The weekend and 36 hours with a guy is what I would personally like to experiment with a guy.
The injection to the cock always works. Guys without a prostate it works for. They still have full effect regardless but with an erect cock as well. Hope I get to meet Gunga Din.
For the guy with flu in 02', I wonder if it is not some kind of reaction to a medication that you may have taken around that time or perhaps are taking. I would look into anything and everything you put into your body on a regular basis or that you took around that time especially (if you can recall). Make list and do some research. Let me know if I can be of any assistance. Not qualified in any part of the medical field, but do have a natural curiousity for that type of stuff.
Jolie
PS Thank you to my Nam friend that suggested I read this post earlier today.
It was never confirmed that I had the flu just flu-like symptoms. Splitting headaches, bone rattling chills followed by sweats, no appetite. I never took any medication for it. I did stop taking all of my everyday medications back in Sept. 03 because of what you are talking about but it didn't help any.
Sounds like the medication had something to do with it.
Next time I am at Harry's, will look for a product for
this in the natural remedies section. I will PM you and
let you know what I do or do not find. I know I saw some
stuff the other day when I was in there that caught my
eye called "male energy". I will investigate that area
more next time.
Jolie
Well I'm not so sure. I am throughly convinced (until presented with concrete evidence the other way) that those two bouts with the flu-like symptoms ruined me. The first occurence was in July 2002 and my libido dissapeared until late August 2002 and I was fully recovered, constantly horny, could get it up in an instant and keep it there for a long time, just like I was prior to July 2002. Then the second round comes along on November 25, 2002 and I haven't recovered since. That's apparently what I can't get the urologists and sex therapists I've seen to understand. They all say that there is no way it could have dissapeared overnight like that but it did. I should know I was there.
You may want to try homeopathic medicine perhaps and maybe someone who teaches meditation. Some feel there is a cure within the body, you just have to find it. I will still look at Harry's for you.

Jolie,
Thanks for the reply but you must have mixed me up with another "Goodgeye" but I'll take the compliments anyway. I'm in my early forties and have yet to have a discussion with you. I've been wanting to set up something but I know I'll need to be in the right mode to make the sparks fly. I've read some of the threads on what you enjoy and though I enjoy thinking about Greek, my experiences have been less than stellar and I'm yet to explore the finer points. I've found better sessions occur if things are good for both parties and I'll need some additional experience and courage before I jump in the Greek arena. That's the good part about this hobby since life should be full of great new experiences!
PS: I enjoy your writing style, I feel that you write your intimate feelings directly from the heart without any filtering, that's very rare.
Hope to have the full "Jolie" experience soon!
For the compliments. Soon, I will be changing my way of doing business (rates to Atlanta guys benefit, location may be better for you, and perhaps I can master shoving my hard dilldo in my a$$ while cock is in pu$$y by then).
There is another Googe around, he is nice as well. I was a different name back then, was "Mandy" when I spoke to him.
Looking forward to meeting you.
Jolie
Jolie my pretty,
Gunga would like to meet you before he runs out of his magic elixir. I still get "lover's nuts", "blue balls" and all that other s..t. It's the injection that enables the "fait accompli"
I'm still waiting for someone to connect my writing style with my other "noms de plumes".
I'll bet MsB makes the connection!
Good nite my pretty!
