A guy by the name of chris [edited by moderator] that calls off Eros is going around trying to get free sessions. He works for the college Funding Group his phone is 404 936-[edited by moderator] he came by to see me and I completely verified him. I thought everything was fine I did not ask for $ upfront (stupid me) and at the end he did not have it. He tried to give me a credit card that probably would not ahve worked. I made it very clear it was Cash only!!! So, I held on to his I.D. and he told me he was going to the atm. Of course he never returned. Please be aware, I do not want him to be able to do this to anyone else!!!!
Also, to all guys I will be in all this week form 10am-5pm sorry I go to school after 5. please call me at 770-256-4536 do not e-mail me. And if you are a member of this board I will be offering discounts for this week only. Hugs and Kisses. Satisfaction is always Guaranteed!!!!

I realize in cases such as the one that Heidi described you need to get the word out. However, under no circumstances are is anyone allowed to reveal personal information such as name, address, phone in a post on TER. Anyone who does so will be changed from unmoderated to moderated status!
I know it's easier to just make one post here but TER will not be a forum for exposing personal information no matter the justification. You're certainly free to backchannel information but please keep it off TER.

Because I'm new here, I just wanted to make sure that everyone understands the policy.

Well thanks but...I'm not exactly new.
I think I've been a moderator at TER longer than any current moderator except Girl Next Door. I appreciate your concern. Rest assured, nobody takes advantage of me. I'm just giving everyone the benefit of the doubt because I don't know this board's history.

Well, if it were a provider stealing money from a hobbiest you would want to know all about it and I am sure you would want to know enough personal information so that you don't make the mistake of seeing her.. right? So if some ahole guy knowingly rips off a provider why should he have more rights then the rip off provider? I think both should have cell phone numbers and some type of info provided so that either is seen again. Sorry, when you just go steal from someone I think any rights you think you should have are kicked to the curb.
Heidi...since you can't post info here there are ladies sites and boards that you can do that. Call him at work and tell him he owes you money and keep calling till he pays you back.
I couldn't agree more with EVERYTHING that has said in his posts here. There is absolutely NO justification for ever posting personal information in a public forum, period. No offense, Heidi, but at this point it's simply your word against his, and he's not even spoken. I'm pretty sure it's not, but it "could" be a ruse to disguise a personal vendetta of some sort against this person.
The best policy is DON'T DO IT. And those who do should suffer the full penalty of the policy - immediate and absolute termination.
Get with the program, mod - for laying a heavy hand around here lately, you sure missed the boat on this one.
Play safe, everyone. And this board should remain a safe place for hobbyists, with no chance of personal info being published because the price to pay for doing so is too high.

A few points...
1. Violating message board posting rules gets you moderated, not terminated.
2. TER moderators don't have the ability to terminate, only to moderate a poster.
3. I get the sense that many of the posting rules have not be consistently enforced on this board. The "heavy hand" that you accuse me of using is just my effort to get this board community in line with the rest of TER's regional boards.
4. If you're unhappy with the job that I'm doing, I won't lose any sleep over that fact.
Those posting on both sides of this issue seem to be upset with my actions. Anyone who has moderated a board such as the boards at TER quickly learns that it is not your job to make everyone happy.
5. For those of you who disagree with the way I handle this or any other situation on this board, remember TER is still looking for a local moderator. Please PM or email

if you think you're up to it.

Atlanta has been a dog and pony show for such a long time, I think reality of what the rest of the country is like, is almost foreign to most.
WE have ALL been guilty of being lazy about abiding by the rules.
Hang in there with us! We need someone who is impartial to our psychotic mess and will be fair.
Keep us in check Mr. Moderator!
It's refreshing to see the rules clearly stated and applied.
Okay, Thirsty, a few quick points of my own:
1. In general, I am not unhappy with the job you are doing moderating. I much prefer enforcement of the rules versus the chaos that has infected some of the other local boards. Good job. Perhaps I should have mentioned this in the original post. ![]()
2. Whether or not you like the "heavy hand" description, the fact remains that your presence here lately has been significantly more obvious than that of previous moderators. Strict interpretation of the posting rules, with no room for exception. Just an observation, not criticism. Again, I'm all for order on the board, and you're doing a good job of keeping the peace.
3. My only complaint is that you failed to enforce the rules in what I (and others) consider the biggest infraction you encountered so far since your arrival. If "violating message board posting rules gets you moderated", then by all means you should moderate the offender. Anything less could be taken as "passive acceptance" of the offense, and encourage others to do the same. NOT cool.
4. I've moderated boards in the past, and I don't want your job. Takes a LOT of time, low pay, and you're always getting grief from somebody about something (like me about this, for instance!). No thanks.
Anyway, thanks for filling in, and keep up the good work. And remember, sometimes criticism can be constructive with positive results.

I agree. I don't mind the criticism. I just felt that your reply was a little sanctimonious. What gives you cause to assume that I strictly enforce the rules with no room for exception? Stop by the Boston board and take a look. It's pretty much everything goes as long as posters respect others (especially their privacy). Most people are unmoderated in Boston. Who I do and do not moderate is ultimately none of your business.
Apparently the provider posting rules were only loosely enforced here. I assumed that the rules regarding posting private information may not have been enforced at all. I chose to use the opportunity of Heidi's post as an example. I give people the benefit of the doubt but only once. I have rejected a lot of posts on this board but I have not moderated anyone. Right or wrong, that's the way I do it.
Anyway...no problem between us. I agree with most of what you wrote, except I wish moderating was a low paying job. ![]()

The name and phone number of a ripoff provider that gets posted on the board is her business name and number. $$$ is a trifling amount to end someone's marriage over. Just like Chief Wiggam is waxing his nightstick on these boards, Marge is lurking around looking for any mention of Homer. When someone posts a ripoff alert about a provider, they aren't alerting her family and friends. Just like you said, "since you can't post info here there are ladies sites and boards that you can do that." That would be the best course of action. Spread the word to the other providers so nobody else gets ripped off, but keep private information out of sight of the general population.
I assume the reason why moderators are asked to prohibit the release of personal information my be for legal reasons. For instance, if a provider is arrested, you are not allowed to copy and paste the story here if it contains personal details but you can provide the link to the story if it is published elsewhere online regardless of what details are included.
When you write a ripoff thread about a provider, you are not allowed to include her real name, address and so on. That's the key difference.
As I wrote, my opinion, not an official explanation.

Actually he said his name was thomas and his friend chris that worked with eros refered him to Me. I had never heard of a guy named chris that worked for eros in Atlanta. Was really strange. I think it was the same guy. This guy said he was 25 and was in town on buisiness, however he was using a local cell he said it was his friend chris's phone. It was very strange to Me, I did not book the appointment. Sound like the same guy?

Monica
