Are guys actually paying deposits today?  Sounds just like a way to get scammed.  A well established well reviewed provider maybe but anyone else definitely not in my opinion.

Anecdotally, I feel like more providers ask for deposits now than they did previously.

I've paid them. For the most part, it has worked well for me. But yea, you gotta be well established or have a firm web presence for me to pay a deposit.

There are alot of scams out there because deposits are a great way to avoid wasting time

I've started asking for a deposit because when I come to Atlanta I would have some cancel and because I am low volume I do not book many so if I have 1 or two cancel it throws my whole trip off.

I agree 100% with you Ginger on the paper trail.  Its not a trust thing for me, its all about the paper trail.  The fact that these popular apps show what you have sent and to who, that is just bad bad news for a married/attached man.  It seems to be more common with the younger providers but seems to be growing with the commonness of it.  Likely will put many guys out of the hobby if it becomes the norm.  Just not worth the chance of damage that could be done if seen by the wrong eyes.

Then there are guys like me

Not endowed enough to “fill” any openings

But I also can’t last long, so I’ve got that going for me which is nice!!!!!

Which is why I prefer half hour appointments.

Ha! Ok old thread but I just found it. About a month ago I contacted a provider for an incall appointment. We have been together 4 previous times. She texted that she would need a deposit after being burned too many times!

I didn't tell her that was like a kick in the balls with a running start. I didn't send a deposit either. I did take her off my favorite's list.

If u seen her multiple times u should respect her new booking policy, because guys wouldn't understand the amount of times in a day a guy will text about an appointment and don't show. Not to mention the LEO risk factor

Seems to me like I earned that and maybe a bit of trust after four visits. In any event, I wholeheartedly respect a provider's right to conduct her business as she see's fit. She just won't conduct any more of it with me. Respect that.

I read on another site, where some new young clients were showing up to their appointments, expecting to pay with Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, etc.  The young operate in a cashless society.
