Some say pornography, some say bawdy novel. It was quite popular in the late 60's early 70's for it's relativity to the times. I liked it because I was 19 and it was a great way to introduce sex into a conversation with a young woman. What can I say? I have always been a horny bastard!

On the topic of masochism, I thought of two more: Quills and Angela Carter, and about to post.
is incredible. No clothes off, no contact w/guy (or girl LOL). But man, when she described her "outside activity/action" to her BF in prison , and her tight clothes and sexy voice/look...wow. Now- she does have a nude scene later in the movie, and was wayyyyy nude in Breezy (1973), but man- that moment is EROTIC! BTW- James Woods as the lead- wow. and TimMcintire gives a great monologue- see it on youtub#
James Wood is a prison guard and a hustler looking for money where he can make it, and he isn't fussy about how. So when he finds a way to score 50K by springing a (nice guy) black activist, he wants in. But..there is also a plot to kill the black activist and he finds himself involved in that too. Meanwhile, he gets involved with Kay Lenz,the gorgeous wife of his cousin, the con who is the brains behind the plot to kill the activist. This flick has twists,turns, and a surprising ending that you will NOT figure out 'till the last few minutes.
Well, I have that Fast Walking movie on tape (off an HBO broadcast in 1985- before you were born). The problem is the old VHS tape is a little scratchy, and I have to admit, that one minute + scene with Kay Lenz has been viewed so many times…well, it is my all time favorite erotic (erotic, I say) movie moment- need I say more!.
On another seductive, erotic performance- Linda Florentino in The Last Seduction. Talk about woman power, and a lady using her wits and hot, hot, hot looks to baffle every guy in this movie. One of my favorite scenes: she is captured by a detective representing her drug-pusher BF, he slips into the passenger seat while she is parked. She knows she is caught, and begins to figure a way out of this predicament. She seductively says “well, is it true what I hear about you guys?”. He scoffs, and blows her off- “Keep your eyes on the road and drive. She “C’mon, I may never get this chance again.” He- “Damn, you really are crazy. Alright.. “ and pulls his zipper down. She’ “Well, you need to get closer to me for us to have a good time. Unbuckle your seat belt”. He unbuckles his seat belt, she steps on the gas and heads right to a tree and hit’s it head on. He goes through the winds-shield, she has the airbags and seat-belt to protect her.
I do not know a woman that has seen this movie that doesn’t love it, and guys can’t get enough of her (plus great story/plot). Lots and lots of steamy scenes (yep- “Linda nudity”), great/great/great story, superb acting (Bill Pullman as the deranged drug BF- fantastic, and Peter Berg as the guy that ran away from a very difficult marriage(whoa- wait ‘til u see why!) and winds up back in this little town and the new girl in town- Linda, who makes him her “fuckbuddy”. Peter wants to marry her (LOL), and the way she uses him has to be see), her bringing cookies to the private detective watching her and how she sabotages his car, and, and, and….well, you’ll love how she uses her seductive ways and brains to come to a fitting conclusion. You have got to see this. Linda is spellbinding and sexy… Go to IMBd and watch the trailer.
OOps- one more - Lina Olin (with Gary Oldman) in 1993's Romeo is Bleeding (not that other Romeo is Missing BS of a movie). A corrupt police sergeant who supplies tips on the locations of safeguarded witnesses to the Mob bites off more than he can chew when he attempts to assassinate a beautiful but ruthless Russian hitwoman in this no holds barred noir thriller. Lina and her crushing thighs and crazy, crazy hitwoman personality. Roy Schedier, Juliette Lewis, Annablela Sciorra.... Some love it, some tolerate it...me- I watch it once a year to appreciate how well made, and acted it is. Lina- lots of sexy get-ups and she is crazy...but wow-what a woman!
I now will stop w/my 3 favorite EROTIC movies. I feel like a movie critic.
You know its a great movie that YOU like when you pull out the DVD and view it again and again. I have about 10 to 15 (out of 1200 DVDs- I have no life) that i view again and again. The last Seduction and Romeo is Bleeding are 2 of those 15. Its like Peter Straub's Ghost story, a book that i bring out in November of each year and re-read. Each time it scares me so much, I (really) end up staying awake or keeping the lights on- laugh all you want, that book is moody and downright frightening.. Scariest book I have ever read.
Now- KD- if I had you next to me in bed, it would be difficult for me (probably easy for you LOL) to watch a movie.
And one final comment on a movie NOT erotic- but something over the top and weirdest movie I have seen..., The Sinful Dwarf- from an IMBd comment; "It (the movie) was filmed with cheap cameras on a budget of about 2 dollars. Yes, there is a lot of full frontal nudity. If you are easily offended, rent Bambi. If you want a dirty, grimy piece of Eurotrash early 70s film-making, this is a classic that you must see! Olaf the sinful dwarf is absolutely wonderful and his tone-deaf mother singing cabaret songs while he menaces the girls in the attic with his cane is over the top terrific. Not to everyone's taste, Olaf and his mother run a boarding house and a white slavery ring. They also smuggle heroin to keep the addict girls happy so they do not try and escape. A young couple move into the house and the evil landlords take a liking to the female." Has to be seen to be believed!!! You will need to take a shower afterward, but its sooo over the top that you will be laughing behind half-closed eyes trying to avert seeing the screen. Torben Bille (the title character) was also a host of a Denmark children morning show, he also apparently married one of the leads in this sooooo bad film. . I have to admit I have only watched it once, just to say i have seen the weirdest movie ever made (it beats Pink Flamingos, and I am a John Water' fan- met him 4x and 1x actually had a 10 minute conversation w/him).
Iggy says "KD- watching a movie next to you in bed would just not work- too many other places to keep my eyes focused".
Well- I just found it can be ordered as an"on demand" DVD. Just placed my order on Amazon (16.95). i would never had thought this was coming out!
It is amazing how WB and other movie producers have their own sites and are now publishing "on demand", as there is not a mass-market for these (those folks that like Adam sSndler and Jim Carey stuff will always be able to go to Walmart or Best Buy and pick up THOSE films).
Really- I went to Warner Archives and also ordered "The Green Slime"- please, don't ask.
1967 Japanese/US really bad science fiction movie that MUST be seen to be believed. Nothing erotic about it, but it is so funny (& that is not intentional). I remember seeing it on TV, and I just spent $20 w/ Warner brothers Archives site to order it & to view it again. It has been sitting unopened next to DVD player for 8 weeks- i just am a sadist knowing i will probably "break the seal" this weekend.
There's a new graphic novel coming out that I'd really like to buy and read by Chester Brown. Unfortunately, it'd probably be a little difficult to explain to the wife why I'm so interested...
Quills is a movie I saw fairly recently, starring Geoffrey Rush, whom I love. It also stars Kate Winslet (whom I also love). He's an erotic writer and a masochist.
The Bloody Chamber is a book by Angela Carter, who took fairly tales and infused them with sex and violence. And beautiful imagery, with stark colors for the imagination. She's a wonderful writer. I've read this little book twice, and am surprised I forgot it.
On more than one occasion, watching that with a date, back in the day, we never finished the movie. I got a lot of smiles when I emerged from one date's room--we'd been watch in her sorority house.
I also like the f*ck scene with patrick swayze and kelly lynch in road house. the lady couldn't act, but she did look so good in that movie.
and for the reality of it all, mainstream actress and golden globe winner chloe sevigny's actual blow job in Brown Bunny.
And I love that she did that. She probably made some radical feminists upset (you know, the "that's degrading to women" type?), but at the same time acquired a devoted fan base who will now see all her movies... including me
In 2006, Sevigny gained a leading role in the HBO television series Big Love, for which she received a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in 2010. Great series (one bad year so far) I am told, She was in KIDS (I was not a fan of the film), and American Psycho (ok) among other films.
RE: Brown Bunny- In 2003, Sevigny took on the lead female role in the art house film The Brown Bunny (2003), which details a lonely traveling motorcycle racer reminiscing about his former lover. The film achieved notoriety for its final scene, which involves Sevigny performing unsimulated fellatio on co-star and director Vincent Gallo
I am told the BB film and a few other of her Indie films are "similar to Warhol films". As a fan of the Velevet Underground, (which he helped "market"), I found myself watching a few of his films. Uhhh, nope- I just did not get it.
Elizabeth Shue is gorgeous. I like the way her character knows people and what they want and gives it to them in a sexy, sultry way. Not very graphic, but I love her character.
Did you see the movie Dangerous Beauty? It's based on Veronica Franco and is wonderful. Some really great sexy scenes in there. Came out in 98 and was 1 of my first DVD's I ever bought... not released on Blu-Ray yet. Cathrine McCormick and Rufus Sewell star in it.
I saw someone mention 9 1/2 weeks above... A "companion" movie to that is Wild Orchid.
Both have very graphic sex and yet force your mind to abstract away from just the sex, maybe you could consider the writing as graphic sex which is simultaneously mind sex (in that the sex is so over the top that it is a character and a statement). Of course, taken as just graphic sex they are still great.
