I'd like to see more followup posts by the dudes who start threads about wanting/having a relationship with a provider they've fallen for - they always tend to start a thread, usually under an alias, get blasted by all of the knowitalls, then meekly leave quietly, we never actually hear about how it all went.
Pay her bills, make her come, love her unconditional ... then let us know how it went!!

If it fails, why expose yourself to "I told you so." I think anybody with half a brain knows the odds are not in your favor. I have done much dumber things in my life. In my case, she is still working, nobody's in a panic. Life together, now and in the future, is discussed. We will see where it goes.

I've never posted about it, but my experiences match the statistics. I'm batting zero -- 0 for 3 over the years. Not only did they fail, they never really existed. The provider even initiated the relationship in every case and was only using me because of my overly trusting nature. Unfortunately, we have a few well-known, well-respected providers in our community who make a practice of this. You all know I would get lambasted by the chickens who are afraid to call things what they are here, hence the alias. The real reason it happens, easier money than usual. And yes, I've suffered emotional pain over this and I'm very jaded by it all and embarrassed by my stupidity. I was very reluctant to post this (I don't post often even under my "real" alias) but feel if it helps someone to think twice about what the rest of you have already said about the mistakes I've made, then it will be worth it. I suspect that there are a lot more out there like me that are just embarrassed to admit it.

I met with the same provider 3 times. She told me her real name and let me text her. I asked her if a relationship was a possibility, she responded positively. I set the guideline that she was not able to provide services anymore and she agreed. I have not had to pay any of her bills and she is not financially dependent on me. This May we will have been together for 3 years and lived together for 2 years. Her and I both are completely happy. Good luck to all.

Not a lie at all, we live together and she is a full time nanny for a family, which I have met. Is it so impossible for someone to make a real connection in this hobby? She was never a full time provider and always had goals of leaving the hobby. Now she is just a regular person going to school and working, and she comes home to me every night. Everyone is always so jaded about the possibility of a provider actually making a legitimate connection with a client, but it does happen. I am not saying it has been easy for us, but you do build trust with someone regardless of their past. To anyone trying it, show them a little trust but do not let them take advantage of you.
