If a hobbyist is going to engage in active text message conversation with a provider, you should get an extra throwaway phone (where no one know's the number on one of the prepaid carriers).
I am sorry but I am going to be truthful about this topic. I still follow a provider on twitter I had a session with years ago when she first started. Long story short she and I had our differences and parted ways. However as I mentioned I never "unfollowed" her on twitter.
Apparently on twitter she beef with some of her former clients or people who are full of shit trying to see her. Either way it is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE for her to post these people numbers in their conversations. Even if you want to post the conversation have the good decency to block out these people numbers. It is so low class and disrespectful to post these people on your twitter page for all the internet to see. There is never a reason to do this. If you are being harassed block the number and ignore.
Some of these guys/gals have jobs and family they want to keep this hobby away from. All it takes is for you to ruin the life of some manic who makes it his life goal to do you harm. Use common sense... a lot people who are in this hobby have a lot to lose and dont have second thoughts about hurting you before you ruin them. Feel free to agree or disagree I dont care but if you cross a certain line understand that the same line might be crossed with you. Just fyi... it has not happened to me and I am not threatening nor implying a threat to anyone but merely a word of caution/wisdom.

because it starts unnecessary beefs on messaging boards when my only message is that this type of behavior shouldnt exist in the hobbying community and that each person should make it their personal responsibility to make sure certain lines arent crossed.

I would never do that nor do I want that done to me. However the world's third smallest violin is playing for hobbyists who make piss poor decisions. If you have a lot to lose behave like it. If you want to be discreet BE DISCREET. Pick a reputable girl, make a discreet appointment, have a good time, go home happy. Anything outside of this is invites an intimacy you may later regret. It is a thin line after all. Now she's angrily posting phone numbers, but people don't do that to screened strangers who showed up, acted right and went about their business.

I am gonna cry bullshit on this one Sophia... there is never a reason to do this. This provider has a bunch of 10s in her reviews irrespective she has been noted as a notorious upseller and actually got pissed at one guy who contacted her because he mistook her for someone else. She then posted his number simply because someone text message you? Thats bullshit. Again, you are putting your personal safety at risk by trying to be keyboard warriors.

This hobby is all about boundaries. I have no clue why some people think it is a good idea to follow a provider on twitter or friend them on facebook. It never ends well. I know most hobbyists and providers are cool but there is always a bad apple in the barrel. It can lead to a hobbyist stalking a provider or a provider hounding a hobbyist for another date.

their numbers in the first place? I thought providers ALWAYS destroyed that information after the verification process and session was complete. I find the fact that she would retain such information beyond that period just absolutely SHOCKING!

If i'm seriously harassing a woman whether hobbying or in the civie world then I deserve to have my shit out in the open and be exposed as a manic. My rule is this: If I want discreetness and respect then I act like it and show the women that hold my personal information with respect also. If a man is concerned about his wife and family finding out about his hobbying then he should think about them twice before harassing someone.

As Kerry said there are proper places to black list someone and putting their private info on your twitter page isnt one of them. It only shows you as a low class person. As Ginger said there are unwritten rules and that is one of them. If you are seriously harassing a woman you deserved to be blocked and blacklisted not have your phone, email address and name put on twitter.
Again that is a reflection on the provider as someone who is not to be trusted, petty, vindictive, lacking good judgement, wreck-less and immature. If a man or woman who acts like a jerk or stalker or just even beef with a provider then has his private info put out there on twitter you arent just hurting him you are showing yourself as someone who shouldnt be a provider and probably shouldnt be trusted as a friend. If you can cross that line then your character is in question as to any other line that you are capable of crossing.
