There are a half dozen statutes on the books in GA that make it a crime for P4P with no exceptions.

Does any one think that this Hobby can ever be legalized?   Does any one have any ideas on how things could be legalized?  And if so how can we go about making it happen?  Or are there people out there that like that it is illegal and that adds to their excitement?

The US is so wrapped up on corruption and political payoffs that to think those in power would ever allow their meal tickets to disappear is simply a joke.  Couple that with the anti sexual attitude of various religions, and well forget it.... drugs and sex will never be legalized here.

never's a long time. If there are taxes to be levied, you can bet it's up for discussion.

It will never be legalized but I believe one day it won't be enforced...every time a big political figure gets caught brings it closer...just my observation..

Because the only reason that would happen is so it could be taxed
And regulated. Last thing we need is for Uncle Sam to get into the pimping business.
Higher cost, less choice.

The more we let government into our lives, the more we lose.  It would be terrible.   I don't want to be "nannied".  No nanny state for me!

This is not a US issue, but it is a state issue. If you want it legalized, petition your local representative to get him to take it up in the state capital. Once it becomes legalized in the state, then you need to work on the local ordinance. That's how you would need to get it done.

Then in about 1000 years when all the fundamentalists pulls their head out of their asses and realize sex is not just for procreation and it is OK to have sex just for fun.

Pretty sure there are some places outside of Las Vegas where it is considered legal activity.

Agreed, but ya gotta admit, government does a pretty fair job of screwin' us without one!

Just one small county. Pretty restrictive otherwise there will be long wait. No, not anywhere near Las Vegas. Closest is the said county in Nevada.

Just not where most people live. All counties with less than 400,000 residents are able to have legal brothels, the only exception to that is Carson City. Just because most counties don't have brothels doesn't mean they are illegal.

Pahrump is barely an hours drive from Las Vegas and there are several brothels there, although I don't know why a person would want to go there except to maybe satisfy their curiosity. I would much rather patronize one of LV's independents or even one of the couple of legitimate LV agencies than go to anyone of Nevada's legal brothels. Leave it to government to fuck up even a house of prostitution.

Ron Paul has talked about legalization of weed and prostitution and called it a state's right issue.  He was a serious candidate running for the WH and mentioned those things.

I see weed becoming legal and then maybe we will have a discussion on prostitution.  Why not?

Hopefully, in a decade or more, we may see traction on the issue.
