But I lost a very dear friend whom was trapped in his pick up truck on early Monday Morning due to all of Mother natures rain. It was air last night on the evening news that he was talking to his wife when the phone was disconnected.
I live on the Chattahoochee. Across the river from Rays... I have never saw anything like yesterdays disaster... No one here was hurt and this morning the river has at least went back into the banks...
My heart and prayers go out to your friends family... It made me think about the what ifs, and to be thankful and stop whining for the inconvience... I can replace carpet in my home and be just fine, you can not replace a loved one...
Yea, I used to live at Riverbend apt back in the early 80s, I do remember dont know exactly what year it was but atlanta 8" of rain in one hour and the hooch came out of its banks and cars were floating down at the park on 41. Thank You all for your thoughts and prayers
So sorry to hear about your freind. My heart and prayers are with you and his family. I know all to well the effects of a flood. My son and his dad's home have been destoyed but atleast they are safe and I am so heart broken at all the loss the good people of Atlanta especily when lives are lost in such a tragic way.
