Imagine a coincidence like this, both of us looking for a restaurant in the same area. I hope your date is as hot as mine is going to be.

What we need now is a restaurant. I'm pretty sure I'm going to need some nourishment.

Lucky guy for sure.

I would drive a two miles from the Galleria and go into Vinings.  Several good restaurants there.  Old Vinings Inn, Soho, Garrisons and Social.  If you are having your celebration stay at the Waverly (great weekend rates) and eat in their restaurant.  Have fun!

Pappadeaux.  Great cajun seafood.  The atmosphere is upbeat and may not be the best choice if you are looking for something quiet.  Madison

Mongolian Cuisine, I think it's in Cumberland mall, or in the immediate area.  If you do a search, you should find it.  I haven't been, but it looks like fun.

I would have to agree PF chang and old Vinnings inn are both great! If you are looking for a great steak then old mill is great too.
Have a great time!

It would help to have a couple of more guidelines (price, menu, large small, need to be discreet so don't get recognized) but here goes:
First, that area is dominated by national restaurant chains and very few local, small restaurants, which  prefer.

Ray's on the River: larger restaurant with live music on weekends, specializes in seafood.

Canoe: on W. Paces Ferry at the river. Another large local rest. but very romantic atmosphere especially if the patio is open.  They do a large private party business (wedding's, corporate events, etc.) privacy could could be an issue.

M&S Seafood: smaller restaurant with great seafood and recently added steaks to the menu, Mu favorite in the area.  This is in the Kroger shopping center but don't let that put you off.  Once you're in the door it won't matter

Tomo Sushi: Same center w/ M&S.  VERY small restaurant, bad place for any intimate dinner but excellent sushi

National chains at the Mall: Stony River, PF CHangs, Maggiano's

Good luck.  PM me if you want more info.
